So, is it possible in “focus” mode to run the transmitter in stereo and then “connect” 2 packs to it, and listen to left channel on pack 1 (focus on left but played through 2 ears) and listen to the right channel on pack 2 (focus on right but played through 2 ears)??
This one is beyond me, I'm not quite sure to be honest and it's a tricky question to research too. Basing off @cberger's comment down in this thread, my hunch is that focus mode would bleed some of the signals to each side, making it not purely isolated signals which may cause some issues for each mix. @cberger's comment said: "I'm guessing they call it focus because that's the terminology that Sennheiser uses. I've always thought Sennheiser uses the word focus instead of mono is because when you run two separate mixes into the transmitter and run two packs in "focus mode" there is still a little bit of bleed from one side to the other, hence the "focus" to the left instead of an actual mono mix."
Dude you rock this. As someone who is very busy and doesn't have lots of time to decipher this I would love to hear a tutorial on it (even just a simple breakdown). Until then... I'll be figuring out what I can haha. It sounds like there's some beat displacement or some funky syncopation.
Thanks! I kinda laid out my approach to this song (and why) in the description. Everything actually is lining up on the triplet grid. I count it as "1 and uh 2 and uh 3 and uh 4 and uh". Ride was actually really simple just on beats 1, 2, 3, 4. If K is kick, S is snare, x is placeholder, it looks like this: xKK xKx Sxx xKK | xKx Kxx Sxx xxx I also added a K on beat 1 at the beginning of phrases, seemed to help the payoff of the downbeat.
Thanks for the review! I want to invest in my first IEM system - should I spend money on a mono-only system like the ptm 33 with 4 receivers right out the gate (and then upgrade to a stereo system later), or should I start and keep a stereo system like the PTM 10 and then get 4 belt pack receivers with that? Thanks!
I won't decide for you, but I would factor in the space that the units take in a rack, your future intention for them if stereo is the ideal goal or not, cost. I think mono is great for DIY, smaller gigs. Almost all professional situations seem to have stereo mixes for the performers in my experience so that's where I personally lean towards.
I know this video is old by now, but what was it like meeting / performing with Adam? He's my fav artist in the world, I would love to know about your experience with him as a person and a performer !
It was an honor. He was always super kind, prepared + responsible with his own duties, crazy skilled vocally/keys/guitar/drums obviously, and hilarious in certain moments of course. Great dude that I have much respect for!
Congrats on living the dream man!!! It's just surreal to see how you can mix and match all of those shows. How tight were y'all?!! And that must've been a last minute call, too. Unbelievable musicianship!
@@GooseTheDrummer yo, I actually for got to mention that my first time ever seeing owl city live was in house of blues in Anaheim, October of 2018. i wanted to ask if it was recorded because I cant seem to find footage of that performance. 😅
@@chronicironic1358there were 2-3 times where the gopro either ran out of battery, glitched, or stopped recording. I know Milwaukee was one of them, Anaheim might have been too if it’s not in the drum cam compilations 😢
The focus mode is use when you have two separated mono mixed, one white your instrument and voice, and one with the rest of the band, so you can focus more in you or focus more in the band
