Thank you - I would say canvas apps and power automate as they are so flexible. I love model driven apps and Dataverse due to their scalability but they come at a premium.
Great introduction, However the IDs are related to to the answers and the order in which you initiated the toggles. It woudl be better if the QID related to the Allergy Question and the answer was a single value array or object with key-value pairs for the gallery item and response. E.g. { QID: 1 Answer:{ "fish": "False", "dairy": "True" } } note that in the avove example the wheat key is not present because it was not selected. Depending on your use case you could either infer that wheat was false or you would potentially not know. Maybe a follow up video with this sort of format and pre-populate the answer object with all possible keys. This would be especially useful where the answer set is dynamic (e.g. previous question was how many children do you have and the answer set needs to be the names of the children
Sorry for the delay in my response, I have been unwell for a few months. My navigation is made as a power app component and comprises of a gallery with a table input. Perhaps in the coming weeks I will do a short video on this.
Great first 3 videos mate. Really helpful for new users of Power Apps like myself. Ive made 1 app so far, but after seeing the way you do things already thinking about going back and changing some of it. Lots of useful stuff here. Looking forward to more regular videos! I think videos such as your first 3 explaining the fundamentals is a great way to go as more people discover Power Apps.
Thanks Dan for the video. I am interested to see your way of handling delegation issues with collections. I would assume that each collection will handle 2000 record only? No performance issue if more than 2k on app load? I would like to vote for a component library video.
You are most welcome! 2000 is the upper limit, but the default is 500. If you are filtering down from a large dataset then app start can be impacted slightly. Sometimes I will add a start up loading spinner if interrogating a big data set. however once your collection is ready filtering in the app is instantaneous 🙌 Component libraries is on the future video list 👌 thank you 😀
