musical theater accomplishment! as eponine in the 10th anniversary concert at the royal albert hall, then recently as fantine at the o2 arena, check out her out of this world fantine performance at the 25th anniv concert.
Wonderful, but I still much prefer On my own... not saying she plays a better Eponine, both roles are great, but I much prefer that song and so of course would rather have it sung by the best. Of course, if could find a production where she plays both roles...;o)
Great singing as usual. I just hate how thin the orchestra was when this show was revived in 2006 in New York. The strings playing the E-flat chord were glaringly absent before Lea starts singing the phrase "I dreamed a dream..."
God, this song just makes me weep! it's absolutely tragic. breaks my heart every time. "I had a dream my life would be so different from this hell I'm living. So different now from what it seemed..." stunning.
