Remove the restrictions in the carb and exhaust. Take out 2 rollers in the primary clutch and shave the rear clutch shoes to 180 grams each. Get the head shaved .030” and port the reed cage. Add reeds and use one size larger pilot jet and drop down to a 90 main jet. Put the needle jet clip in the middle. Get a #40 chain and add a 1988 lt80 26 tooth 428 rear sprocket and use an aftermarket 13 tooth for stock tires or 14 tooth rear sprocket if your using smaller rear tires. The little quad will blow your mind how much it wakes up. Cheers
You could have some clutch issues. The older ones had too much grease in the front clutch and everything gets greasy and dirty. I’ve seen clutch grease cause allot of slippage on the belt.
Instead of removing the second pilot jet, use a jet cleaning tool, and open it up a little so it flows a bit more fuel. I believe the PW50’s came with a washer in the exhaust pipe junction that limits the flow a little, taming the power. Those can be removed. Not sure if the JR 50 has them.
