You have to give The Sex Pistols there due. Johnny Rotten was only 17 when he was writting classic songs. His lyrics for that age and the sound that band made was just unbelievable. Didnt like the series myself to be honest but love the band. But im more into the New York scene.

I saw Tim (Ripper) live in a very small venue when Demolition came out. It was ok, but it wasn't Priest.. it just wasn't. IT was a forced effort to put out an album using the Judas Priest name. That said, I do think that Halford and the band needed some time apart.(At least Halford did at the time). Rob did some fantastic work on his own. I think it helped him own his age and perfect pushing his limitations. The truth is, I saw Judas Priest back in 1982, 83 multiple times and again in the later 80s. They broke up 2 times that I remember. The "Fight" years, and the "Ripper" era. The greatest shit in my opinion came early in their careers, and when they reunited. "PAINKILLER" was epic and still is, and take any album they've done after the Ripper era. It's just unreal. That's not taking anything away from Ripper. K.K is doing shit on the side now with Ripper that kicks ass. The "K.K'S PRIEST" project is great. But with respect to Mr Owens, Rob is not replaceable. There's just too much history there for that.

I agree with most of the video somewhat, however Megadeth albums on 2000's are much better than Metallicas contribution on metal music. Death Magnetic was mediocre at best (Kirk is so awful on whole album), hardwired was a lackluster and 72 seasons was disappointing to say at least. On the other hand The System has failed has quite few great songs, United abominations has several great tracks and Endgame is great modern thrash album too. Dystopia is also great. Not to mention Kirk hasn't wrote a really good solo since AJFA and Lars is still sloppy af, although he has been practicing at least. In the end, music is always on subjective matter. Metallica has better reputation and marketing and more "catchiness" for common listeners, Megadeth has better musicianship and more interesting songs in deep dive.

I would like to compliment you on a very well put together presentation. You obviously come from a different musical background and what this is yet you stayed objective and all the way through I was entertained. I saw you only had 7.3 thousand views I think that's going to change in the future if you continue doing this you are so good at this kudos to you!

This was amazing! I loved your delivery, solid research, and respect for the band. It's clear you're approaching the topic with reverence, and it shows. I'm a bit of a Depeche nut and I think this is the best documentary I've seen about the band. You go deep here - I'm super impressed! Nicely done!

I saw Graves a few months ago at an axe throwing place (first and last show I’ll ever go to there) and man was he fucked up. He was slurring his words and stumbling around like he was on a bunch of downers. Got a picture with him and some CDs signed and he was an alright guy, but man he was TRASHED. His set was decent, he mostly just did Misfits stuff alone on acoustic and it was surprisingly not bad.

Famous Monsters is easily in the best, if not the best, Misfits album. Graves’ voice is so good, so many hooks, and the riffs are solid. I hope to see the Graves era songs performed live one day.

This and the misfits one were great!!! A Danzig one would be nice too. Yes, the first 4 albums are essential, I'll give you 5, 6, 7, and not being great, I think they're fine but whatever. However, circle of snakes and Deth Red Saboath are killer! After that, the rest is terrible.🤣🤣🤣

Anthony probably looks back at this and cringes at himself. That’s basically why he has never commented on the feud. He picked a fight with a guy who is not only wickedly smart and more talented, but ruthless as well. He probably never thought it would escalate like that but he talked sh*t first and the way he got Mr Bungle canned from that bill was a b*tch move. I say this as somebody who enjoys both bands. Also, its funny he complained about Patton stealing his style when Mike is a FAR superior vocalist.

Dude these are so awesome! Watched the misfits retrospective and Samhain retrospective b2b. Do a Danzig one! Sure Danzig 5-9 or whatever last album came out are well, to put it lightly, each one is probably better than the next. Still it’s worth doing a retrospective! Also do a type-o-negative one!

Good job dude. Thank you. Danzig V is incredible but i understand not initially liking it. Its actually his closest album to a Samhain album. Hint of her blood, sacrifice and Serpentia are some of his finest work. His vocals took a backseat to the overall production but it will slowly grow on you. See all you were is Samhain. I love all of Glenn's work except Circle of Snakes. Lol

[By the summer of 1998, while the band was still touring in support of Cryptic Writings, Nick Menza was having knee problems and sought medical advice. He was informed he had a tumor, which was later found to be benign, and had it removed. Rather than cancel any dates, Megadeth hired Jimmy DeGrasso as a temporary replacement. When the time came to record a follow-up album, Menza was not asked back and DeGrasso became the band's official drummer. Menza has said in several interviews that, while in the hospital recovering from knee surgery, he received a phone call from Mustaine that simply said "Your services are not needed anymore".] I think it's true what Ellefson said about him. He tries to get revenge on metallica by doing to other people what was done to him, but he doesn't ever feel satisfied because he can't ever get back at the people that wronged him. Its the classic cycle of abuse. He could probably get help and grow as a person but he doesn't think there's anything wrong with him because he's a famous and successful musician, and he's always been kind of a narcissist. At the same time, he always felt like Metallica beat him, that's why he never could forgive them. Even though Megadeth sold millions of records, had immeasurable influence on the genre, won awards etc... Metallica were more famous, more successful, and had way more radio hits. Hearing them play on the radio all the time would drive someone like Mustaine nuts. He wanted to prove that they made a mistake of firing him but he never could, they did just fine without him. I love megadeth with all my heart, its better than metallica by a landslide, but Dave is a fucked up person.

1. Walk Among Us 2. Static Age 3. Earth A.D. 4. Famous Monsters 5. American Psycho Sorry but I thought Project 1950 and Devil’s Rain were awful. Jerry really screwed up when he took over vocals he can’t sing for shit and letting Doyle leave was another mistake. I liked the heavier more thrash metal direction the Misfits were going in when Doyle was still in the band and I really like what Doyle has done since leaving the Misfits with his bands Gorgeous Frankenstein and Doyle. I have respect for Jerry but I don’t like what he’s done with The Misfits after Doyle,Graves and Chud left.

12:33 i think metallica's attitude on this phone call gives me every reason to believe *most* of what dave says they said about him. it was probably word of mouth--which even then gets garbled up--but theres always of nugget of truth in there. mustaine said a lot of things, whether they were true or not is debateable, but metallica were definitely not saints in this feud, trust me.
