Hello, everything looks good on my part other than the pump camp only “pumping” at 20% down the way (only at the bottom of my push will it pump). Any advice?
Terrible valve on the tank. I have three different bike pumps and none of them are able to press in the valve stem on this tank because it’s too short.
Im thinhking of getting this, my problem is the height. Can i install this waterport sideways? Because its tall compare putting it flat . 11 inches wont fit on my aplication and 8 inches (sideways)will work. Thanks
Hey @waterport!! Army Vet here...👋👋👋👋 I purchased the 4gal tank and it's been great. I didnt follow the warning of dont leave pressurized and had it on the roof all summer baking while I fished and camped... now the tank is a lil deformed but amazing part is the folks here complaining abt price. I didnt think the tank would put up w my abuse . It did!! And some. Great product !! So much so I just got the weekender!! And have my lil deformed baby as backup. Ty waterport!! Btw please make more videos, and answer 2 questions. With a full tank avg runtime on major settings.. i.e shower . Flat. ..1 suggestion is make a eco showerhead with flex hose.. automatic wont hurt either.. You make, I'll BUY!!!!
You can certainly leave the tanks pressurized. That's what they are made for! Sometimes we see minor deformation in the Day Tank models, but they still work just like day one!
Hey I'm looking at this tank, but with my set up I would have to mount it upside down on the underside of my truck bed rack. That would put the nozzle on top vs on the bottom. Would that compromise the efficacy of pressurizing it? I'm worried that the air would just stay above the water in the tank and that's all that would come out of the pressurized tank after the water level inside has dropped below the level of the nozzle. Any input would be appreciated thanks.
About spit my drink out when I saw the price... I appreciate innovative products but JFC $400 is a bit laughable. I suppose most "overlanders" do have more money than sense though so "target market" I suppose... 🤣👌
I would love to see a tank that fits underneath my Gladiator truck bed in the spare tire area, since 37 inch tires will not fit underneath. Wasted space that could be used to mount a water tank.
How long does it take to fully pressurize with the pump cap? I havent seen any videos where people actually say how effective this is, and if its actually realistic to rely on the pump cap if you dont have a bike pump or schrader valve pump. And does the pressure release valve go off if you use the pump cap up to 50 PSI (meaning we can rely on the valve to tell us when to stop)
$380 for a plastic tank?? Here I thought there was a cheap alternative to the Road Shower but it looks like the old homemade PVC pipe showers are still it.
What are talking about?? Look like a great product with good price point.. its 8 gallons.. good quality 2 gallon Jerry can cost $40 to $55 without any brackets or add ons..
Yeah it is crazy for a blow/injection molded water tank. Guess it'll be non cellular core schedule 40 and black paint for my water tank. Even if this is 100% virgin material to make the tank that still doesn't justify their price.
@@dotanswisa1442 Maybe in your country but it's laughable here in the U.S. And you probably haven't noticed but those Jerry cans aren't made of cheap plastic and can hold a ton of pressure. And anybody with a double digit IQ can take a piece of angle iron and make a quick bracket. But hey, the old saying "a fool and his money are soon parted" exists for a reason.
@@superbazooka213 My 4" PVC tube tank holds 7 gallons and has worked great for 5 years now and cost me about $120 with the pressure gauge, fittings and a nice steelbraided line to the showerhead. If I had to buy one there's no way I'd spend $380 on a plastic tank since plastic rotts in the sun, something you don't have to worry about with a Road Shower since they're made of aluminum.
Such a cool company with a great product. I have been using a Waterport for a while now and am excited about the weekender, but want to mount it to either surf racks or the side of the bed of my truck on top of the rail... like the side of the truck on top.
I have a 2017 TOYOTA TACOMA with Thule surf racks on top and an open bed in the back. Can I mount this on the top of the bed rail? Also, can you show how to mount on surf racks? I have Thule aero blades.
