The Holey-Moley Vacuum Assisted Hole Digger was invented by Titus Nelson, a registered Professional Engineer in California. He has worked as a Professional Engineer in Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and Colorado. Ten years of his career was in the mining industry where he mined deep shafts and tunnels for water and sewer projects. In addition, he worked as a smokejumper for the Forest Service and BLM. In his professional career, he worked as a mechanical engineer in the Aerospace Industry. The Holey-Moley Vacuum Assisted Hole Digger has a Patent Pending status. The unique design fills the need for a hole-digger that fits in-between cheap post hole diggers and expensive industrial drilling equipment. A single can now dig straight, uniform holes up to 12-inches in diameter to depths exceeding 15-feet. Let us know what you think!

The shop vac is one of the most underrated digging tools. See all our blog articles at cat6tools.com/all-posts/ See our videos on the digger here: cat6tools.com/post-hole-digger-videos/
Here in Florida I have pretty much straight coral-derived sand, so it should penetrate like a hot knife through butter. My water table is probably only 18" down and that might be a problem, though.
Keep going and pull the digger out and use the shop vacuum to suck out the slurry.. See our cyclonic buckets - cat6tools.com/product-category/wet-dry-vacuum-separators/. Here is our new web site, Home of the Holey Moley Digger. cat6tools.com/ Also enjoy my video on this product being made in America. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-513PTZMT-DE.html
It is quite a contraption; It works under the 5 power of the resistance velocity, meaning that if you double the air flow through the unique patented digger head you get an increase in dirt movement of a factor of 32. The price is $577 for a 6 inch digger. Made in the USA and still available. If you want a cheap one, I can get one for you for $40 made of plastic. We are here to please.
It's pretty obvious all the non fence installers commenting, I dug 50 holes yesterday in dirt filled with rock, took all of 1 1/2 hours with The Little Beaver! This would only get used where there is potentially underground utilities. But this takes an ABSURD amount of time. I can hand dig 4 in the time he does 1!
Well Berry you are quite a professional from your comment. The Little Beaver costs over $3,000 and sure doesn't store in a 9x9x36 space. At 50 holes, you were paying $60 a hole to cover the basic cost of the Beaver. Most people don't have over $3,000 to pay for a digger. I would hate to the shipping cost for the Beaver. Not to knock it, the Beaver works great for what it is intended for. I have numerous customers that use the Holey-Moley digger to dig hole to 20 Feet. The Beaver won't do it. I also have professionals that use the Holey-Moley to get that one hole where there augers won't go. So it is worth it for even one hole. We have lots of new products in the vacuum area especially for digger. cat6tools.com/
We can go out to 12" with a 6 inch digger and 12 inch reamer. The hole can go down to 20 feet and are especially good for concrete tubes. cat6tools.com/
Well James, I have a good customer base and business that is growing. You obviously haven't read the patent. So, I will give you another chance to demonstrate your intellect for all to see.
I can see dumping the backfill from one post but if that puppy is full from multiple holes it would be very heavy and thus make more sense to switch to blow mode. So check before you buy your shopvac that it has both modes.
Antonio thanks for the comment. The shop vac can get heavy if you let it get full. Here is a calculator that computes the weight of a shop vac with soil. No matter how you look at it soil weighs a lot. Even in buckets. So, we recommend dumping after each hole. cat6tools.com/shop-vacuum-weight-calculator/
Cool idea but when you have to dig 8-10 inch diameter holes 2-3ft deep it seems to be too time consuming What about in Florida where it’s basically all sugar sand. But it’s a cool idea
We found that digging a 6" hole to depth first and then reaming it is pretty fast. The diggers with shop vac, using our unique digger heads where huge velocities are generated are capable of digging to 20 feet. A 10 to 12 foot deep hole 12' in diameter is relatively easy. This digger has its place. Many people use it for holes for Pole Barns.
Take a look at the Video "The Post Hole From Hell" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O-ep05-YGuU.html. our diggers are even better, all metal and lighter. Yes they work in rocky ground. See us at cat6tools.com/
There are very few areas of ground that would hit small weak rocks, like you have in this video... Most yards have rocks the size of baseballs if not even bigger! Let's not forget extremely hard pan clay, that this equipment will not go through. Whoever you got to manufacture this tool for you is must be overcharging you big time and they are ripping you off! I don't know anyone that would pay $400 to $500 for this?
Sometimes one has to deal with Rocks. I hate rocks.
I switch to a quick change core digger head and keep going - cat6tools.com/product-category/holey-moley-diggers/post-hole-core-diggers/ Then again, Sometimes it pays to move the hole, our clean out around the root with a shop vacuum and use an electric chain saw. Sometimes you have to play the cards dealt.
Thanks for the comment. Lots. of the same if you look . Turns out the best way to keep the hole straight is to look down, and keep the vacuum tube centered in the hole. When one is making a video, keeping audio working, not running out of battery, or sunlight, and working around screaming kids, barking dogs and fire trucks thinking of digging straight is not on the mind. I have dug hundreds of holes sense. Everyone, even with augers tend to lean forward. Just look down and keep in centered in the hole.
Not my house. So the wife is happy. The lady that owns the place wanted holes to dump the dog poop into. The dog kept knocking her fence down. Turns out one day she couldn't find her dog. Well guess what happened? A red tail hawk got it. The neighbor watched it. No more poop, no more barking, no more need for holes. Go tell.
If you are over 50 years old, gas powered augers are dangerous and very loud. The Holey-Moley is smooth, easy to use and not loud. Every tool has its use and is the preference of the user.
Ok man it's $1000.00 or better to dig the first hole ?? I can get 3 pair of post hole diggers and 3 guys for three days for a thousand dollars?? Good luck
it pays for itself with 10 holes, and you end up with a beautiful tool, made in the USA. Lot of homeless coming across the southern border will work for less than that so you got screwed.
Funny you mention that. We did a test hole 5 feet from that location down to 20 feet and hit the water table. The people at that house now have a beautiful hand pump and shallow well. In LA the water is super expensive and they don't pay a dime for it.
That ground is compact Adobe Clay. It works great if dry. If it gets moist, use our core digger -cat6tools.com/product/holey-moley-post-hole-core-digger/
