Honestly, both characters were undoubtably evil but who was the most evil? That’s a tough question. Tony soprano was a man who became evil because of his Upbringing And all the people who he was surrounded by that had a negative impact on his life and himself as a person and also, despite the fact that he had a very toxic and malicious mother and a absent father. Walter White was a man who became evil due to unfortunate circumstances and plagued by a life of shame, regret, and humility. And then eventually, his cancer diagnosis is what really set him over the edge and made him desperate to provide for his family before he died because of his unwillingness to leave his family with nothing and also fed up with not being seen or recognized because of his Superiority complex due to the fact that he has been gifted with heighten intelligence. But in my personal opinion, I thought that Walter White was the most evil character. I say this because at least Tony in some certain moments showed some signs of him not really liking who he is and what he does he’s had some moments of genuinely being ashamed of who he is and what he does and he has moments of showing some regret for his decisions. The reason why I say, Walter is the most evil is because he didn’t really show a whole lot of guilt or remorse for his actions. Not only that, but he also had the nerve to downplay a tragedy that took the lives of 200 people.
Rewatching the show after years since i binged it so much back in the day. Being older now (im 35)...its kinda shocking how brilliant the show is on so many levels. Theres the text book, obvious rage symptoms of psychological trauma..then the DEEPER shit that is,again, layered. Great video btw, im sure Gandolfini would approvvvve,AHHH?? 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽
Saitama is relatable in the most funniest way possible. His life of being a hero is boring if he can't find a challenge to make him feel like a hero but he doesn't need to fight powerful enemies to be a hero, he needs to act as a hero, him being indestructible is the real challenge.
Honestly, Chris was one of my favorite characters in Season 4. The man is ice cold but I don’t think he lacks empathy entirely. He seems to genuinely try to comfort his victims, and it’s like you said, almost never personal. Where a lot of the other soldiers try to be as brutal as possible, Chris’ killings are, at the very least, quick and ‘merciful,’ even if being lead into a vacant is horrific.
Chris didn't need a backstory. He was able to portray himself as someone with a military or police background, also a dedicated family man even though his family was only in 1 scene.. And also showed he likely had a troubled childhood the way he beat Michael's dad to death
Chris is one of the best written characters in the entire show, and that's saying a lot.. He didn't need a back story, almost every scene he was in was in he was the wise soldier. He was the prop Joe of the hittas.. The had Omar as the smart stickup man, prop Joe as the wise OG and Chris as the wise assassin. I WISH SO BAD WEE BAY AND CHRIS WERE IN THE SAME SEASON THOUGH!
i would add that jesse's addiction (and character) is situated in the broader war on drugs. he was surrounded by those who dealt and abused drugs during his high school years. emilio and krazy 8 were certainly adverse influences on jesse (both of which he knew for quite a while). as you mentioned in the video, jesse likely turns to those individuals because of various factors, such as being a token child for his rich suburbanite parents. during the time period in which breaking bad was beginning to aire, the stigma around drug users hit a fever pitch. jesse is ostracized by suburbanites, cops, his parents, and even business associates for his drug issues rather than given advice or help. he is associated with the image of the drug user being a moral failure. jesse inevitably uses his addiction as a coping mechanism for his social alienation (not dissimilar to those who were victimized by the war on drugs). due to the fact that he cannot get any help, jesse subconsciously accepts that he is a moral failure.
He is super practical and efficient.. The Marlo operation was a smooth running machine.Chris was part of that machine and fits perfectly in his position.
I disagree with the jealousy of mike take. I didn't get that view at all after watching season 4 and 5 multiple times. Lol I honestly don't understand how you came to that conclusion. She was simply just a hot head and treated everybody except Chris and marlo the same way
This is one of the best tv episode breakdown's i've ever seen. Not just the summary you pause and then add context from past episodes to tie together the visual language that is occurring on screen. I wish more content creators would imitate your format.
yeah im basicaly in the same boat,i dont think tony would ever poison a kid or be ok with the death of one like walt was,but tony has obviously harmed more people overall
I think another example of no middle ground was McNulty meeting with the politician again only to realize she only asked him there for Hamsterdam info. I love the shots of him putting his keys on the table as if it were a metaphor for him being interested in opening up to her, only to pick them back up a minute later.
It's called "Muscle" for a reason. She don't handle dope, distribute, sell or cook. She's a Lesbian trying to act like a dude in a crew that has NO women. Other than being muscle, she has nothing to offer the game. Chris keeps her in line, but "protects" her like a man does his woman because without Chris or that gun, she'll get beat down, raped or killed. Notice Chris talks to people more than she does because she has no tact. Neither are seen partying, we never seen where they are during down time. I wouldn't be shock if Chris was banging Snoop.
Evil, yes! It was this deed by Partlow that particularly shows he is psychologically bereft of ANY REDEEMING qualities that are indicative of positive thoughtfulness and compassion and comprehension regarding humanity. The crime committed shows an emotional lack of humane CONSCIENTIOUSNESS that is often EXHIBITED in the civil/ tribal wars and coups on the AFRICAN CONTINENT.This mentality can be seen in this DANGEROUS individual's conduct. In this respect, he is no DIFFERENT from the ACTIONS of mercenaries which has been witnessed time and time again in places of rivalry and HATREDS.
Lady at work 20 yrs flat she 50+ my homeboy came in there wit some good cologne fitted shirt she wanted to do it right there on da floor n she da dude in da relationship n her girl work there
Bro, Chris was never ordered to kill the Delivery Lady. It has his idea. And your reasons why you think he is former military...bogus. I do believe he was former military but not for your reasoning.
I think Todd is a bigger psychopath because he legit doesnt feel anything for others. He watched his entire family get gunned down, and all he could do was look in awe at how amazing Walters idea was. I think if that happened to Lalo, Lalo would be infuriated because he actually seems to have feelings and love for his family, and the people close to him. He only displays emotionless behavior when it comes to people he doesn't know. Its like he doesn't even view them as humans with emotions. Just toys in his world.
She was a soldier 100% and accepted everything that came with that life. Hence why she accepted her fate when she tried to set up Mike. Live by sword die by the sword. I think most of the gangsters in the show know what fates await them and accept it because thats the game. Wee Bey taking all the murder charges, Chris took the wrap so Marlo could get off, Bodie making his last stand on his corner instead of running.
It was Chris who decided to frame Omar by killing the delivery lady. When Chris killed the passenger in Avon’s truck that was not an Oder from Marlo. Chris was inherently evil and brutal. Chris was a serial killer who had the perfect job.
Wrong, go back and listen carefully to the conversation between him and Marlo on that subject. Marlo said "make it no bail"which means homicide aka a no bail charge....
I don't think Stringer was trying to set up Slim or "killing two birds with one stone". A: Slim was not no.2. Stringer still was B: It wasn't about getting Slim arrested. Stringer just couldn't handle being played like a fiddle and went back to his gangster roots when it didn't go his way, not realizing how stupid it would be to kill a state senator
Don't think you watched the show deeply...that wasn't June Bug..that was old face ... Chris and Snoop No hesitation smoked June Bug...It was young Mike who was questioned the act..all good tho
You don't remember the scene. When Chris, Michael and Snoop were discussing the job, Mike had his reservations on Marlo's reasoning and Chris glanced at him in the mirror as a way of affirming his take on it. Chris passively felt that Marlo was a bit trigger happy that's why he held back the Omar antics when they were in lock up.
I think if Snoop wasn't a woman they would cared and she had to move with so little heart because she had to protect herself from the streets that would've targeted her otherwise.
