The rake I used here called Potato Rake. Homedepot, Parkrose Hardware, and Fred Meyers have it. If you want a fancy one, then google it using keywords clam rake with basket.
I think it was on June 17th, it was raining a little bit so not many people came. It was a little wet, but It wasn't cold. I showed up at noon, fished for 3.5 hrs. Spent 1 hr 15 mins cleaning the fish. Took 20 minutes to haul the fish up as I was a bit late, and the Ranger was waiting.🤪
@NierNierPasture While the fish is still fresh, you can fillet and carefully inspect the meat, look for red spots, and see it wingles. Or leave it at room temperature. it usually comes out. It should be safe to eat if cooked. BTW, in general, fish carries parasites, including salmon.
The morning hours are usually very productive, especially when you want to throw top water lures. The evening hours are also good, as you can see here.

Your video was suggested by RU-vid and thank you that was nice to see other people preassure canning shad. I do lightly smoke shad first then preassure can. I use small jars wide mouth and love it
There are many ways to catch them. I heard the bare hook also works, but I haven't tried it yet. What showed in the video is hook and swivel. Most people use shad darts or 1/16 oz. jig heads.
How much is a fishing trip like this cost? And how many fish do you usually catch? That looks super cool and great idea to stock up on tuna. I’d like to smoke a bunch and vacuum pack it away for winter. ✌️
