I'm a Film Maker, Videographer and Film Tutor from Wellington, New Zealand. I'm Maori and pakeha, and I've made lot's of short films and music videos, some which have featured in film festivals both locally and internationally. I completed an MA in Screen Production at Auckland University in 2017 and I work as a film tutor at Yoobee Colleges. My latest film ‘The Old Man Next Door’ was a finalist in the 2018 Fresh Shorts funding round through the New Zealand Film Commission, and was made in 2020. It has gotten into 10 Film Festivals so far, and counting. I also do some videography for SoFar Sounds and run my own production company - Illuminate Productions. As a Maori that can speak te Reo. With a whanau that are KAIAKO in the Reo maori. Maori based whanau. But raised by a pakeha man quite like this guy. I found this short film very relatable. The taniwha is our kaitiaki. And that man was trying his best to care for the whanau. But he did say "made up Maori story's" which was funny once the taniwha pulled him into the water. But still sad. Because he doesn't deserve to be taken by the taniwha. But it taught them two a valuable lesson. Don't say Maori stories are not real and don't ask the taniwha to drown somebody, no matter what. That won't be good to the kaitiaki. Look after our kaitiaki 💚

I think what Ron has achieved is awesome and it's commendable that he's never given up on his dreams, or listened to haters who have no discernible talents of their own and have nothing better to do with their time than put others down so they can feel better about themselves. Good on you Ron!
So this is how it happened,Ron's ex leaves Ron for John so ron shows who true ugly face and runs him to the ground all over social media publicly and doesn't even know John he's never met him. So tell me what would you do when given the opportunity??? You don't know John hes a good human being who didn't deserve that bullshit from Ron. Know the real story before you judge
