I ran into this guy's channel in the mid 2020's(2024)(aug). He's still with us, and I have not heard anything about strokes or suicide. I've not seen much of the channel but I hope he's truly good.
I have a black 1989 Strat Plus, and the tremolo doesn't put the instrument out of tune with moderate but frequent use. I mean, I'm not dive bombing it or anything. But you can routinely use the bar many times in a single song, and it always comes back in tune.
The phase switch - yes it reverses the bridge pickup which throws it out of phase with the neck pickup, but if you have selected the bridge pickup in single coil mode then that switch selects either of the two coils. And they do sound differently. You can select the one closest to the bridge or the other one. It will do this with both bridge+neck pickups selected with the bridge pickup as single coil, but then one of them will be out of phase to the neck pickup.

He gets more and more brilliant the more I try and emulate his beautiful jazz type syncopation but perfectly in the structure of the vocals and arrangement. He is certainly a genius in the levels of Django Reinhardt, Bily Strings, Doc Watson, and Vince Gill. Truly a genius and I'm deeply grateful to have learned enough to appreciate his musical prowess. I live in the mid west (Ohio) always loved working on old guitars I could find for a few hundred bucks at antique shops yard sales anywhere I can find a good guitar to work on. After watching this I went up and got a t-60 that had been sitting in a thrift shop, I got it for 200 bucks with the original case, the guitar is so cool it's all original and sounds and plays better than most of my thousand dollar guitars I really appreciate the video cheers and all the best
Very cool! You got an awesome deal. Yeah, they really knew what they were doing straight out of the gate when they made them. Peavey has always stated that they will NEVER do a reissue of any kind, it's like taking a step backwards. They really should rethink that one. lol

I love those puppies. For that price, I would pick them up every day and then flip it if you don't dig it. I really can't find a stock Fender that beats them.

Also, I've been learning the mandolin for a while now after playing the guitar for years. Tried a bit of the banjo as well, but it pickled my head slightly.
Hey there my man. Yeah, it seems that a lot of folks haven't been getting notified about my junk. lol I'm glad you are doing the mandolin thing...it's a cool break from guitar. The banjo makes me scratch my head as well. I see 10 year old kids playing the hell out of them, yet...I've got nothing going for me on one.
