I love cheap cars that are cool, fun and have an insane value for their price!

I am a 17, from Germany and I love cars over anything.
So I'm here to make you aware of some truely incredible cars, that are very possibly within your budget and perfectly suit a specific role or purpose! Some of course are just within reach of our dreams, but they are still are amazing and deserve their attention🫣

Loving cheap cars, I do have some favorites, that are basically my goal to own (at some point at least)👀
Those are the
-BMW 5 series (E39)
-Audi A5 (B8)
-Audi TT (8N)
-Porsche Cayenne S (955)
-BMW 7 series (E32)

I have no idea if it will ever be possible to get even half of those but it would be amazing for sure! But at least you now know, what I'll try to get to make videos with haha

Hopefully you like some of my content and enjoy your time on RU-vid!

1998 523iA in front of my doorstep now for a short time. The car is very comfy even at high speeds on the Autobahn. Enough power to get from A to B quickly. Nearly 220k kilometers on the clock. Interior is in a great condition after 26 years... feel like the quality of the interior is outstanding! For now no major problems. Just a lovely drive!

Nice man! Congratulations! These cars are really nice and beautiful, as well as of pretty good quality overall. But as someone who would like an E39 as my first car, how is the experience in your 523i? So in terms of fuel consumption, speed, accelleration from stoplights, etc... Cheap ? You have no idea what you're talking about, this is not a cheap car to maintain, is always those who never owned one who says is cheap but if you want it properly taken care of is really not cheap at all.

@MrPista 3 дня назад
To be straight up, I have never owned one so no experience with them... You're right at this point. But from storys I read and problems I researched, their not too bad in reliability. Of course there are some issues because they are rather old by now, but there aren't too many in general from what I know
@robertadrianwayne
@robertadrianwayne 3 дня назад
@@MrPista Is a 20 year old car, I wouldn't say reliable but sure, is very well documented but you can't call it cheap to maintain, an even well maintained you'll face problems like parts that aren't sold anymore and much more, these were quality cars made to last but they were never cheap, not 20 years ago nor today. They're cheap to buy, expensive to move.
@MrPista

@@robertadrianwayne I have to say that you're making good points here. There always is something that can Happen of course, you're right. And those bills can ad up... Like with a lot of older or used cars in general. And there certainly are some people with bad experiences. But especially here in Germany, they are very Well known for being quite reliable cars. And as parts for these cars are not too expensive here, my opinion is probably a bit biased anyways...

It’s been the best car I’ve ever owned. I would advise looking for a 2004 to 2006 with the 3.2 L engine and the DSG transmission, Because that transmission will not allow the driver to go over redline nor lug the engine and so is less likely to have significant wear or damage from previous driver’s racing the things. The extra low end torque and 50 more hp helps with the weight and gives me around 30 mpg and a much nicer exhaust note.
@MrPista
@MrPista 10 дней назад
The Level of abuse these cars get sometimes really is a great reason to get the 3.2! So you made a good point here that I never actually thought about 🤝 Thanks! The VR6 seriously is a very interesting engine, so that might also make the cars hold their value better🤷‍♂️ So I'm glad you love your car so much and sincerily hope that you will keep it for quite some time to come🙏

I have a 540i touring sport in black, I have been restoring including a mate respraying over two years (he has been doing to a high level for 10 years) restored now for the inside and a couple of small suspension parts thats aren't availble at the moment, there must be better parts out there. Older cars are getting harder to keep on the road. Need bushens for my CL500 but none available at lest to deliver to Northern Ireland. Nothing has been straight forward but better than owning a souless car. The 540i sport is one of the best cars to drive I've ever had, pure smooth power that keeps going, so useful I've lumbers some stuff over the years in it. i was lucky the engine and gear box were rebuilt before I bought it. Munic Legends did the work so it pulls like a train. I did a search anmd there are 5 in the UK and 3 on the road. It is a beautiful car, like I said the interior is next and the seats are looking their age and 180K miles so will get the seats retrimmed with leather not sure to go more darker than the cream leather. I'm sure it will work out keepm it original black matalic and cream leather. The dark gun metal grey head liner is class. Great cars maybe the car enthusiast's woild choose.

Having one in Phoenix was very, very, very lack luster....unless you went for a drive OUTSIDE the cities limits in the canyons and gourges. 75% of all states have none of this, and it becomes worthless having one of these in Oklahoma, Michigan, Tennessee, Carolinas. Price is 10k in Denmark I just love the looks of it and want to add 50000km of my own to it, then sell it again 😊
@MrPista
@MrPista Месяц назад
Right away, I'd actually consider one with the 3.0 tdi and that milage myself...(Though I'd take a manual over the s tronic, but the s tronic is a good transmission) And as long as the mods don't go as far as making it less reliable, the car should be totaly fine! But being a 2011, is it the facelift or still the 1st one? Becauese if it's the fl, 10k sounds alright too🤷‍♂️ But btw, adding 500k km to sell it again sounds a bit optimistic haha The A5 really is an incredible and gorgeous car, so I'm absoluteley on your side when getting one! I still want one, but I can't really decide between getting one of them or a BMW E39 5 series...

@MrPista
@MrPista Месяц назад
@@Dramox. That's a big difference in km hahah I understand you. A nice car to enjoy for a good while, without many issues. When looking at the tdi ones (generally more reliable than the gasonine engines), the 3.0 is probably the best one overall. Both in Performance and reliability. I mean they got like 240HP and a 2.0 for example like 150HP I think... So you really feel a difference in speed and fun. Also the 3.0 comes with quattro as Standard and the other ones can also be just FWD. There also is the 2.7 tdi with 200HP, but they are a little worse on fuel than a 3.0, so no need to get one... The il4 tdi engines are very reliable too (got some 2.0 tdis with 280k, 540k and 230k km in my family. Never had any Real issues) but they are rather for commuting, instead of more fun drives🤷‍♂️ So depending on the condition of the car you're looking at, you just might need to do maintnance stuff like sparkplugs or Fluid changes, or maybe need to fix up some suspension parts, if sth isn't right. Just ask the owner about things like that and when they were last done. Though you should always be careful buying a modified car... There are well looked after ones, but also total shitboxes out there... Wish you the best of luck!

Hey, I'd already say that you have pretty good taste haha. I actually want an E39 as my first car too👀 The thing with the 520i though is that they just are slower, than for example a 525 or 528. Apart from that, they are great! They are generally very reliable engines and the rest of the car is mostly like in any E39, so still great! So if you don't intend to drive you car rather fast sometimes, a 520i should be absolutly fine. They still handle and drive great, look just as good as the other ones, have the same nice interior and are generally cheaper to run! Especially insurance should be cheaper and you might save money on fuel, as you'd probably drive more responsibly in one haha But does that car come with a manual or automatic transmission? And what actually is your budget? Also if you would actually prefer a different engine (depending on your budget and what you want a car for) you could Look a bit further away from your area and have the car Transported, or just drive it back home. I want a e39 with better engine but nothing is close so yhe. I have already bought a ford focus and I will prob sell it or trade it in bec it’s slow af and ugly. @@smilinglight5678 hmm, that is complicated... To be honest, I doubt that a 520i would be a lot faster than a focus. Has more Power, but is definetley heavier. But buying from a dealership actually makes sense in Norway, especially becauese of rust! Though you should still have a good Look on any car up there. So I'm not exactley sure what you should do, but a 520i might honestly be too slow for you then... But I mean you could test drive it🤷‍♂️

@@smilinglight5678 Like MrPista said, rust is gonna be the main issue due to the salt used during winter... unless you're only gonna drive it in the summer and have it like a garage queen during winter. I live in Sweden, and you can't really trust dealers here to have a good grip on the common E39 rust issues. You have to check it yourself very very carefully. The design of the E39 is such that the rust issues on the side skirts/sills and the back jacking points will usually be waaay bigger than what first meets the eye. Meaning, they can look pretty fine on the surface, but even a small rust spot on the sills can imply huge rust holes underneath. You won't know whether or not it's swiss cheese under there unless you check yourself. In bad cases, the jack can go straight through the jacking point if you have to lift the car to e.g. change a tire or a break pad etc. So even if it's from a dealer, make sure to learn about the common E39 rust spots and carefully check all of them yourself. In my opinion, E39s are great cars except for exactly this one issue, and it's very much exacerbated in the Nordic climate due to the heavy salting during winter.

My dad gave me his well maintained and serviced E32 1994 V8 730i 5 speed in absolutely original condition for free because he wanted to keep it in the family and he turned to me because he knows I am a petrol head (I have owned - consecutively - a DAF 44, a Citroen BX GTI 1900 8 valves and a 1.1 litre Lada Samara Bohse. Now I am plunging my money in the maintenance and servicing of his car. It is extremely well preserved, but I had some issues which had to be resolved (it is, after all, a 30 year old car). I had no love for BMW, but his car still drives and feels like new and it is growing on me now. Last week, my father asked if I could take him on a ride with his own car (he's 93 now) and I did. He was seated in the back, like a king, and he was beaming. This really still is his car I'm preserving for eternity. All this is happening in Belgium, by the way.
