Hello everybody! This is my lego space channel where I not only talk about space related lego sets but also show and tell about other sets and my personal building space itself!
@JaceD4V1S88 I've already God all the parts and a 1B Project will be happening! That will be the first project I start on when I get back to building so stay tuned!
@user-gy9wf9rj7n Sorry I do not have an actual list made up. Just what I showed in this video. Did my best to show all the parts used. Eventually I'll make lists for alot of the things I've built special for these cars.
I love your fleet of 6 space shuttles. - have you added custom stickers so that they aren’t all called Discovery, and they have their individual names? (If so, Enterprise needs to be down on it’s wheels and not in a flying pose!!! 🤣🤣) You’ve got a great Lego collection.
@@LEGOSPACE91 NICE ONE! I love it when people go for the details. I remeber at school always knowing which shuttle it was going up, and the relevant STS numbers etc, whereas my friends barely knew one was launching !
@MinifigJez I grew up with the space shuttle program and fallowed it very closely till the end. Always been a huge fan of NASA & our space flight history so of course I had to do a couple Saturn V's and all the shuttle's! My Columbia & Challenger orbiters have some special details I added to honor the brave crews we lost with those. Eventually I'll be going through them all and showing off everything I've done to them!
@@LEGOSPACE91 It sounds like we are both a similar age to each other! I was just completely fascinated by the shuttle, and constantly made models, and drew pictures, read books, and attempted to make Lego models (with the very limited 1980's parts !!!!!) I'm actually from the UK (As you'll be able to hear from my channel) but still loved the shuttle I only have one of the Discovery set, but have many different shuttle sets from over the years. But strangely, the only one to ever appear in a video on my channel is set 40127 ! I look forward to seeing your vid on the 5 shuttle details. You've gained a new subscriber from me !
@MinifigJez Thank you for the sub! Really appreciate it! I had some of the older shuttle sets as well. Sadly lost them a very long time ago. One of my favorite was one from the early 90s that had the service structure and mobile platform! Also had the old technic shuttle set too. Loved all the moving parts on that one!
Some great sets there. I find myself buying lots of 'parts' to finish off sets I've bought second hand. Have an awesome day!💥From Fun At Home (Hot Wheels, Lego, Cards, Stamps & collectables)☮
Nice job on the fantasy build!!! Would be nice to see the Ecto 1b from the video game. Maybe once this is done you can finish the series with the original black ecto 1 that was seen in the beginning of Ghostbusters 1?
@@LEGOSPACE91 Awesome!, and I know it would be a lot of work but to be honest I kinda liked the ecto 1 used in the all girl one and if its possible maybe one of those too?
Thank you very much I really appreciate that! Like I said I wanted to keep the overall feel and look of the 1A while still bringing it to the next phase in life!
So the stiping down the side of the car is built into the car using a bunch of Yellow & Black 1×1 plates! All of the parts for every project I do I order directly from Lego's Pick A Brick on their website. Yes there are other ways like brinklink but I prefer to buy straight from Lego!
Really looks nice so far. for the engines - don't you still got some space to gear-down the motor a bit more? Running high loads on low speed is not all that good for battery-life and the motor. (and those large ship engines were rather slow to begin with, often running lower than 1 revolution per second) "Offbrand" sounds so wrong. No, it is just one of the many competitors. Lego is not the original - that would be KiddyCraft (and yes they are selling again). And for quality you also should stay away from lego (let alone them having the absolutely worst value by far).
I had talked about and shown in previous videos on how I attempted to solve the speed issue via the gearing but I did not have enough room. The original placement of the motor I chose worked well but it ended up being in the way of some of the sub structure that I could not modify sadly. I tried many placement options but non of them would work. I couldn't mess with the gearing of the shafts either because I wanted the propellers to spin correct directions along with having the rudder prop spinning slightly faster than the two main props. So I had no wiggle room to change any of that out either. ITs not 100% how I wanted it but I'm happy with it. I'm not worried about staining the system either because it will rarely be used and when it does it will be for short durations.
Yes they both do! I've got videos of when I was building them that shows the changes I did to make everything work and look better too. Feel free to check those out!
I don''t know if you are trying to combine the afterlife ecto 1 with the ecto 1a but if you are, are you trying to make an afterlife/ecto 1a version like where its all rusty?
So this car I'm currently building is basically what I came up with in my head to fill the void between Ghostbusters 2 and GB Afterlife. I'm creating it as post GB2 & Pre Afterlife. My goal for this Ecto is to give a little more story line on how the Ecto-1A was transformed into the Afterlife version. There's so many differences between the two versions and I want to bridge that gap. At least as far as the Movie cars are concerned. I'm just concentrating on the story line of the Ecto-1 from the legit movies and making things flow a little better in my mind.
Thank you very much! It's been years of changes and rebuilds but I'm really happy with the ship as a whole now. It's definitely a unique show piece now! Thanks again for your support!
I think the way they work around it is that althought in the ghostbusters lore the second movie takes place, the ecto 1A never exsited, they just had the og. BUT i cant wait to see what you come up with
There are two other versions you could do, the 2009 video game version (1B) which is mostly a mix of 1 and 2 and the black and grey ecto that ray buys. Although that would be hard to make.
I'm definitely excited to build one to fill the time line and have things come together a little bit better! The Ecto-1A didn't get enough screen time in my opinion so this will be a nice transition for it!
Nice! Love your ecto 1 projects. I think you should do one more which was the black version as seen in the beginning of Ghostbusters I without anything.
Thank you! I get all my parts for all the Ecto's from Lego. I got on their Pick A Brick and get everything I need directly from them. It's not the cheapest way to do it but I prefer to buy directly from Lego!
@@LEGOSPACE91 Nice also do you think you can make a tutorial kinda on how to build the roof rack and everything? I plan to change my ecto 1 to make the floor flat with the stretcher and make the ecto 1a of course.
@@LEGOSPACE91 cool thank you I might get another set like this summer or smth and I think it would be easier to do the modifications while building it. The only part I need help with would be finding the pieces.
@Jacknator37 There are cheaper ways, but personally I prefer to use Lego's Pick A Brick on their website. It can get pretty expensive but that's were I buy all my parts from for these cars.
I have thought about adding lights but these mocs are built much different from the Lego instructions so I would have to heavily modify or make my own custom lights. But definitely something I want to do!
@LEGOSPACE91 definitely looking forward to seeing what awesome stuff you come up with Brother, thanks again for everything that you do, greatly appreciated
@@LEGOSPACE91 Thanks also do you think you could build a moc of the Ghostbusters Firehouse that could fit these huge ecto 1s? Thats what I want to try and do
