Not really! I just listen to what harmonies I like while creating... it might be my classical trained background, the use of counterpoint or the love for classical minimalist composers@@syntholabo
Ahhh, I could get lost in your Buchla and Echos for hours, tis bliss. Appreciate it, and the nice view of plants! :) Always excited to see new videos from you.
Gorgeous! It's one of the 2-3 vintage synths that I would LOVE to own, but I have a no vintage policy for the most part. What I would love is to own a set of the modules (especially the 1047) and then create my own patch matrix using modern techniques. Probably an active setup like the Syntrx or something. No mechanical slides. I know people would think I'm crazy for that, but I love the pure tone of the 2500, but not necessarily the side effects of all that. Cool patching system of course. Just not for me. :)
Cherry Audio has a set of ARP 2500 modules for their Voltage Modular system which runs as a VST or stand-alone. There is also another almost exact softsynth copy made in Europe called the G2500. Try one of those. If you want hardware modules, MOS Labs has the nicest but they're hard to get, CMS Audio has a set, and Behringer has a Eurorack set. All of these clones use patch chords, not the sliders. I have the $49 Cherry Audio modules which include three modules that were on ARP's drawing board, but were never offered for sale.
This is rad! Are you sequencing both the MO and CO separately here? I can't tell which 'counterpoint' lines are from separate sequences and which is coming from the delay. What is doing the delay by the way? I'm very curious about what you're integrating with your Eurorack as well. Sounds great!
This is incredible! How do you manage to get multiple voices out of the Easel? It sounds like there’s sort of a bass voice alongside the arpeggio. Or is it all the same voice?
