Armenia happens to be there and it has no obligation to provide a way to connect two territories on its opposite sides. Transit between Baku and Nakhjavan has been going through Iran, with no transit fee and no hassle. What is Baku's problem?

To pass through Iran, you have to go through two Iranian customs, and then two Azerbaijani customs. This is a long and hours-long road. In other words, to cross from Azerbaijan to the other side of Azerbaijan, you have to go through 4 customs. In addition, Iran uses this road to blackmail us. If they don't like a little thing, they immediately close the roads and gas lines. Iran wants to establish a theocratic Shiite terrorist state in our country, Iran supports all the radical Islamists in the country, and they tries to create chaos. Recently, the Azerbaijani embassy was attacked with the support of the state in Iran. The pipeline and the railway are being built between Nakhichevan and Igdır,even though it is expensive, Turkey is politically more stable than Irans. But, in my opinion, the best thing is to open all the borders between Armenia and Azerbaijan, then the South Caucasus can develop.

Iran has to cross AZ to go to Russia in North-South eventually. I'm sure they can come up with mutual agreement to make transit easier for each other.@@ruslannovruz9744

1. The region was mainly muslim. Because it was part of Iran from 1500s-1828. In 1828, it annexed into Russian Empire after Russian-Iranian War. 2. The first president of Azerbaijan's birthplace and hometown was Nakchivan.

In the Armenian language, "Nakh" means "first" "Ichevan" means "place of landing" referimg to Noahs Ark landing on Mount Ararat (also Armenian name). There are lots of videos of azeri turks in Nakhichevan detroying over one thousand year old khachkars, which are Armenian tombstones. Nakhichevan has nothimg to do with azerbaijan or turkey, it was emptied of its original indigenous Armenian inhabitants by force and signed off on paper by Joseph Stalin to the newly formed state called azerbaijan.
