@@stacenm i hope you are wrong and that we will soon see a book from Terry Rowles and Mike Adams. Mac Ogrady promised a book for years and never delivered one. I did make a video based only on what I saw on the internet, but a book by Terry and Mike would be a much more reliable and detailed approach. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4-WLHatT-Ho.html
I was pondering about this and tried to do research on my own for relationships between arms patterns and sway gap; ended up finding this video and this saved my coaching career huge time 😭 huge thanks to Terry Rowles and Mike Adams for conducting all this….
I listened again to the video, but I would love to have a better understanding of the sway gap numbers. Jeff Smith touched on them, but that sway gap number is not in my app since I am not a coach, and I am using the player version of your software.
Interesting if 2 D pictures were used to point out Sports box observations noting lack of visual clarity. Sway gap may look bad but could be effective in certain patterns. Guess numbers -data point geeks can imagine this but…
Im going to say that if this feature is working great it iOS only because the one on android is still broken. Please fix this, Android to IOS is 3 to 1 but still get shafted on moat golfing apps. Happy Father's Day!!
These guys really are very good. The problem is that you have to go to them in person to learn what's best for you...or you can painfully sit through these podcasts and learn what you can. They keep promising a book, but I'm not sure that's ever going to happen. Really good stuff, but listening to these podcasts is painful; and this podcast is one of the better ones...most of their stuff on RU-vid is very poorly done. Cheers
inconsistency sometimes he goes forwards sometimes he goes back sometimes he falls backwards and must catch himself so he does not fall to the ground????? this will not last he is a wonderkid now but when the wheels fall off the crash will be epic
This is waaaaaaaaay to much thinking about the swing. I'd argue that focusing on .000000005 of a degree on your swing does more damage than good. You're thinking too much
What action is the closer? Hit down ? Upper body rotation and hand rotation? Lower body action is all opener? Natural closer ball forward, ball closer to body and open stance ? Straighter right arm is the main closer
I’ve been watching Dana in a variety of environments for several months now. He is exactly like my son in terms of how he communicates. It can easily be interpreted as rambling with big words if you don’t have the type of brain that can properly interpret the jargon. However, I 100% disagree with your characterization that he’s saying nothing. He is incredibly gifted with an ability to interpret the data and then arrive at an appropriate solution for a particular individual. There is no cookie cutter swing. We all have limitations and tendencies that necessitate a particular swing. Some love the weeds (Dana). Some like the forest. I love the weeds but I (like you) need to see the forest. We all think and interpret differently. But don’t be so critical of Dana. His words are magic if you can endure the tedium and criticality evaluate.
@@rpmfoto nonsense. if you understand what matters, you don’t concern yourself with what you are referring to as interesting or fascinating “data” he can’t even hit a ball hisself. do you need more proof than that? for god’s sake. be rational
The key is that people have natural patterns that suit them better than other patterns. The pros have to groove the pattern. They produce nearly identical force plate patterns on stock shots. Amateur force plate patterns are all over the map for stock shots. To marry swing and strike, you need consistent patterns and timing. Technology can help you achieve this consistency.
This is the future of golf analysis and instruction right here! I'm looking forward to becoming Sportsbox AI Certified and using it in my golf coaching & lessons! There is no debate with data. Would you please have a mode for SINGLE PLANE SWING (set up at impact) - Maybe use Bryson Dechambeau's data or Moe Norman or Graves Golf or Kirk Junge?????? Also, is the data an average for all wedges, irons, woods, and drivers? does the app have specific data of motion per club? Also, metrics that are more tailored for pivot locations like Dana mentioned Bryson is centered vs lead pelvis or trail pelvis.
OMG, my golf prayers have already been answered - I've been planning to buy your 3D AI (or get a coach) and this is just what I hoped your company would do "someday" and here you are already giving this to everyone for FREE!!! For instance, noting on videos my shoulders (chest) are square long before impact (0 degrees) and are still until after impact (still/stagnant) now it's obviously contributing to my losing lag! At 17:40 from time points 1.0 to 1.4 (well past impact) the rotational speed is fairly constant and having access to Sportsbox 3D AI Golf to regularly monitor my shoulder/chest turn will be very helpful. And as you know, your leading coach/partner Erika Larkin's lessons heavily focus on smooth, linear acceleration through the swing. Looking no further at the data, you've already sold me!
On reflection, at 17:40 I made the assumption that the Chest Turn graphic was an actual direct output from the Sportsbox app. Or after the fact, did someone generate this chart manually using lots of data point extracted from the program? (that would be a labor intensive exercise)
All the years of being critical of Nicklaus flying elbow was folly and his match up of slide and tall legs were part of his success from a body dynamic standpoint ??? Yikes… Great information. Don’t get cookie cutter instruction unless you actually match the instructor model!
