My wife's great grandmother was born and raised in St John's! We toured the island for 3 weeks some yrs ago, and no matter where you go, the scenery is just beautiful! The people there are very friendly and helpful! Still think of the delicious fish & chips, breakfast sausage, and bakeapple jam!!! We have a Mummers Day parade on New Years Day here in Philadelphia,Pa,USA, and I can see the roots evolved from Newfoundland and Irland! Hope to return there someday!
Nice photo's, I can relate, I used to cut fish in Glouster, Massachusetts in the early 80's, it is good to live along the ocean and inlets, yous is a good life. Cold...but good. Good luck to all...David Poland
Love this! Never been to Francois. YET! I'm from Burin Peninsula and the SW coast is about the only part of the entire province - including all of Labrador - that I've not yet been to. Sooooo, is on my 'to do' list, and this just makes me want to go that much more!
The song just tells it all. Simply magnificent. Great job!!! Can anybody tell me who is the performer of this song?? It's great!!! I am from croatia, but I'm a Newfoundlander in my heart and soul, Newfoundland is the only place for me. I belong there somehow. I'd like to move there some day, and I hope it will be soon!!
