I'd semi stopped watching Eastenders by this point. Stopped in 2006. It wasn't a bad story but at the time I remember being sick of the Slater family. They were hogging the vast majority of TV time. When one family character had just finished a storyline another Slater member would start. Over saturised and I found myself eventually not caring.
