I like to "try" and fix, I like to "try" and mod, I will give anything a go but I am no expert, what's the worst that will happen?!! I have made mistakes, I have been lucky but I aim to improve on every repair learn from the last and improve every time. My aim is to buy faulty items and save them from the bin. I try and buy items that I can keep, give to my kids or family or use myself. I seem to mainly pickup Switches, but will give any console or electrical item an attempted fix! Feel free to make video recommendations or requests. I appreciate you watching my channel and hope you can take the time to give me a follow, Thanks. **I now have two other channels, the first Fix.ModBuild,Extra will be for all the things similar but not fixing www.youtube.com/@FixModBuildExtra The other channel jamigaGaming will be for gaming related things, playing games badly, mods, reviews. www.youtube.com/@jamigagaming/videos I would really appreciate if you could follow and subscribe.
this solder paste is very bad for reballing cpus, its brittle and will crack very easily. its better to use 183c but dry it with a paper towel so its really dry. then put it onto the stencil, because of the dry paste there is no issue of the paste leaking out to another solder ball and going everywhere. and best to use low air flow for example atten st 862d 5% air flow and 360c heat
ouch this is way harder than the v2, been looking to upgrade my V2 to an Oled, but this gives me pause lol i did the V2 just fine, but this is a whole other level
On board C, the 3.3v line is short-circuited. Look at the small IC on the back of the board, in the top left corner above the Realtek audio IC. it generates the 3.3V line. in most cases the chip or the caps on the right side are short-circuited.
NinmarG is right. As you performed an APU reball i litteraly died inside. The Short on the Cap left of the M92 is never an indicator for an APU issue. Its an indicator that something on the back of the board has an issue, most likely P13USB or the 3.3v Rail.
I might try doing this to my switch, would anybody be able to provide me with a full list of materials I’d need? Also, do you HAVE to prep the pads before soldering? If so, what do I do to prep it?
Hello my friend, I wonder if this one works in oled switch? I bought a new oled some weeks ago and I want to try a chip, could you please let me know it? thanks
This chip doesn't, there is a lot more work that needs going into an oled install. If you look in the top pinned comment you will see a link to my video installing an oled chip.
Hello, if you are referring to the square pads that are under sp1 and sp2, those go to ground, they are soldered to the metal frame. I think the guy in the video forgot to mention them, but if you look in detail you can see that they go to ground.
Nice video, after the modchip install, my Switch is giving Error 2002-3540 when accessing the Stock firmware, emunand works properly. Do you have any idea how to fix this issue?
3:20 I didn't buy that same solder wire, but a similar one called "Lefavor" 0.8 mm 2% flux lead-free. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE, it starts to melt at about 450 Celsius which is not optimal, it supposedly has a fusion temp of 180 C but I don't think so. AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!! I didn't notice it was lead-free, when I actually needed leaded solder, it's easier to work with if you're a amateur (like me). Although yeah, it's very toxic and can lead to serious medical problems in the long-term (that's why it's recommended to solder in a well ventilated space)
I like the commentary vs just words flashing along the bottom. I am a new subscriber and watched a couple of your videos and this is the first time I heard you speak. Keep up the good work.
Since I came along a day or so after you posted, you may not see this comment but... That 3rd wire is for WiFi cards with a third connector. Most cards in that size just need two but its probably easier for Dell just to put the 3-wire set in all the chassis and make one config for all of them.
This laptops goes to business companies. Third wire can be for different configuration laptop. My guess is SIM module. But you don't have it in this configuration.
I’ve bought off that seller years ago when I got a Dell Latitude E6410 alongside my mum buying a D630 with a purple lid. Not a bad seller to be buying off, though they could put a lot more effort into cleaning it a bit more
I used to just watch nothing but repair and modding videos and just search Google for fixes to faults, tronicsfix being my favourite youtuber. Then decided to start fixing things myself, way before I even started filming, just had to practice over and over, probably had a lot of failures on the way! But over time you get better and start getting a few fixes.
@@teacuppug8337 these are the tools I use ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cWOmSBAXCzM.htmlsi=eeABtOtxqU1j3pE2 I have slowly worked my way up to better equipment though as it can be an expensive hobby!
I recently had a pattern of it freezing forever on the second logo. not wifi ic and capasitor issures. The fuse numbers were correct. I could solve it in a different way.
