Idk if this is just for me but I have realized that the sound, sounds muffled turn it up just a bit and everything comes through nice. Maybe that’s just for me though.
I completely disagree. The game is a casual mmo. If you compare the game to other mmos youll see that its actually incredibly cheap vs others in the same playing field. Now, I do feel like horses should at least be cheaper as they get older by a lot more then they do now but my point still stands (maybe even a way to purchase them outside of sc for lifetimers). This goes for the challege aspect. You cant compare overwatch to sso. Sso is again a casual mmo. Key word casual. Making strong challenges dosent fit with the player base. Overwatch has a real world comp league and is a hero fps (which involves skill and tactics at its core). Theyre two vastily different player bases and games. Just not a good comparison. However, I do see where you are coming from and I wouldnt be apposed to adding more rewards for doing better but it needs to be something that is rewarding and motivating yet also not something that can give the rest of the players fomo because then it would be a hard crush to most of the community (as again this is a casual game with casual players). Lets not even mention owerwatch and their horrible buisness practices. How they literally side lined most of their already existing payed player base in order to make more revenue off f2p players. Theres a good reason why theyre mostly negative on steam. The sso devs are literally angels sent by god himself compared to blizzard...
I had to wear headphones to hear the hoof sounds, turned off music and lowered ambient too😭 (not in your video, I ment in the game yesterday when I went to check them out)
I'm excited about the sound effect changes because sound is a vert huge part of the game. But I am in fact taking my clothes off if the bridge sounds don't get straightened out. It was the best sound in the game.
Crossing the bridge at cape cod was one of the supreme clopping sounds, it’s not now 😔 The muffled sound makes me feel like I hear someone else riding far away from me, not a horse I’m riding
Something else is coming later in July that I think you might appreciate as an "upgraded version" of the Championship Ranks that you wished - again an activity based on various achievements, but by far not only from championships, and with really SOLID and actually useful rewards. Not SC, because the moment SSO introduces ways to earn SC in the game, the company is done (at least at the moment, when they're apparently barely holding on from their SC sales). But really varied and motivating rewards, motivating even for high-demanding players I would say. So I'm curious what your reaction to it will be!
Also I miss the old horse hoof sounds SSO had. I miss that loud stomping , it felt like our horse actually had weight and it was more immersive . Now its like you’re riding a horse made of plastic and filled with air lol
I would like to add to this that the sound of the water has been turned off on my account for some time. Like for example when I do the race at New Hillcrest by Sunset Island, there’s no sound of the water at all. Also in Fort Pinta beach. I don’t like how they fiddled with the sound, it would have been better if they kept it the way it was in my opinion. And the muffled sound makes it like you said annoying. When I have been playing, I’ve heard the sound of the horse being cleaned on the hoofs, brushed, given water and fed hay, even though I’ve been riding it. Or even standing still. And it has been like that for weeks, even months. And the music on the race with Ricky Winterwell stops after I have passed the stone bridge in Fort Pinta. It’s so annoying, because it has happened before as well, and then fixed only to return…. It’s so frustrating. 😢
about the races part,, that's also a thing but it's coming later this year (september i believe) with different rewards (clothing, tack, 1k JS, etc) so i guess there are two types of season passes : champs and races+champs ???
I agree with you on the championship ranks. First four places getting the same amount of points is a shame. Also, the difference between first place (5 points) and 20th place (1 point) is too small in my opinion. Races should somehow be included. And there should definitely be prizes worth the effort. Let's hope it'll get better in future seasons... Also, I personally feel that the maximum of 250 points is too low. Many people will/could reach that quite soon. I'm not sure whether this actually keeps people from participating, because the prizes are not great in and of themselves and they are not really exclusive either if many people can get them relatively easily.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks the sounds are muffled. They make me feel like I have water in my ears (se aude ca din veceu) I want a CLEAR sound
I havent played SSO for months. Why do they make silly stupid changes when so much is wrong with the game? I have been playing Horse Reality nonstop since I saw your videos on it. How long did it take you to get all those 98 halter horses? I am concentrating on QH reiners and I have some nice stallions if you are interested. Berrymeadows at Far Away Acres.
I hate the fact that I have to wait 2.5 months for one horse, when they release new horses every month. As well as coming out with new tack and clothes that make it hard to save up (especially if they’re limited) because they’re so dang expensive. I cannot spend money on this game due to my current living situation and it makes me so sad that I’m essentially missing out on these horses because I have to think “I can only save up for one horse at a time, so might as well wait for the newest one”. Genuinely disappointing that they won’t give out any star coins other than 15-25 star coin codes :/ anyway, I’m so glad you brought up the new sound effects and the new competitive system, we really need something to compete for!

This is kinda off topic but im SO glad they finally gave us the option to turn off gatherables near you, I have ADHD so every time I saw those I would get distracted and grab them ALL, I got nothing done 😭
Every single american quarter horse I had known always held their head low. Even when looking up things about the breed, they always keep their heads lower than most other breeds. I love the sso version because of that very reason. Brings back memories of my time with horses.
