This one is eating sunflower hearts. They don't seem to like peanuts very much. Robins also enjoy wet cat food, as they often steal it from the barn cat's bowl while it's eating. Seems risky, the taste must be worth the risk. Apparently the protein is quite good for them 😊 The other birds aren't interested in cat food though, just the robins.

@@slipngrip Hi! I appreciate your concern, it’s important we feed wildife the right things. The peanut butter is pure natural peanut butter with no added sugar, just 100% peanuts. The bread is basic wholemeal. They only get sandwiches as a treat when there’s mothers nursing or when the weather has been particularly harsh. There’s around 8-10 badgers in the area, including a mother with two young offspring at the moment. We do also give them dry dog biscuits sometimes, Wagg Worker dry food specifically 😊

Dried dog food is only any good if it's gluten free, otherwise it's no better than bread. Better would be natural food, bananas etc.

Crap food. Wheat flour is bad for all animals. Peanut butter is ok, better with fruit, bananas etc.

Yeah, they’re invasive. Fortunately I’ve seen far fewer of them this year. I see red squirrels occasionally too which are native, but the greys have really negatively impacted their numbers across Scotland 😞 And red squirrels are quite slow and clumsy when they’re on the ground compared to grey squirrels, which I don’t think helps.
