Bro why can't I ever get what I'm looking for I'm tryna figure out how to do preloads or whatever they called I keep forgetting I just bought my cousins old muzzleloader and he gave me the things of premeasured powder or sum like that
if i could buy both traditional and inline would it be more worth it to understand a traditional to make a modern inline more easy. like in running heavy equipment or even driving a car. learn on an older more beat up machine with same or similar controls. then wow once your decent with that and upgrade your a way smoother operator on a new machine with fancy features. but im taking delivery of my first tomorrow and all i will have is the rifle will have to find all the rest by oct 5 i think is deer season so about 2 weeks to get an idea. if i have to will do shotgun/slug cause everything else is at other house outta state atm
how often is this needed this is what i feel need touched on. ie is there like break in barrel only every round or 2 for a few on break in then the talked on just every time you take it out at the end and just an inspection 1st i have a traditions vortec with stainless ill get tomorrow
Im new to muzzleloader.. we just bought a 45 cal accura mrx . What max load for 209 black horn . And does it take a certain primer cause we bought a Winchester 209 shot shell primer but it says for triple 7 . .
We definitely recommend it, since BH209 has the highest heat tolerance of any powder, and standard ignitions can result in excess fouling/ inconsistent burn rates.
can not get a answer, I own a buckstalker 50 cal and would like to know if it can use 777 magnums pellets I have a box already with 2 missing and I bet only one pellet was used per shot to plink, ok is this to much for the gun
Hi! The Buckstalker is Magnum rated, meaning that it can handle up to 150 grains (by volume) for a single charge. That means that you can use either one pellet (60gr) or two (120gr) without damaging your muzzleloader.
@MuzzleLoaderscom Yeaaa, i get it, marketing blah blah. It can be rough for bp shooters to watch non muzzleloaders do muzzleloader content. Maybe we are not who you are trying to reach. But i sure woulda liked to see him fling one of those Great Plains slugs outta that thing. Future vid?
Based on how rapidly and violently the Hornady expanded, I'd expect the long range performance to still be good. Who knows what these different bullets might do at 125 yards. I suppose a half inch bullet never shrinks, but I'd prefer some expansion.
You are a complete retard lr a co.plete sell out , powerbelts are absolute trash , i mean garbage , pellets are far inferior to loose powder any "expert" would mnow theese things , what a whore .
I long ago came to despise sabots. Really wish we'd had these advanced full bore projectiles when I still hunted the ML season. I might have continued.
Will the 1 in 24" rifling shoot patched ball accurately. I looked at one of these yesterday and would like one but not if it wont shoot round ball accurately.
My CVA optima loads way better with the triple 7 pellets after 2 shots. The White hots my 3rd shot I can’t even get the bullet all the way down hardly. Shooting the 290 bore drivers
I took out my TC Encore 209x50 Muzzleloader and shot 84 grains by weight 2F Triple 7 and shot .9” to 1.3” 3 shot groups with these at 1738 FPS. I am really comfortable with accuracy, ease of loading and cleaning… plus I bought my T7 from you for a lot cheaper than BH209 this is going to be a game changing bullet.
The manual with my Ruger Old Army stainless pistol calls for # 10 caps. Do you sell them?? How's about a loading stand and double cavity ball or mini ball molds?? Need nipple wrench for my # 10 pistol and #11 for my Hawken 50 ???
We're out of #10's and it sounds like we'll remain that way for the rest of the year. We highly recommend looking through our website. I'm a newby with pellets. So can I ask (specifically for the IMR Whitehots) what is the magnum and standard loads? 1 pellet, 2 pellets, 3 pellets? I am wondering what was what for standard and magnum? Thanks in advance.
Standard load is 100 grains or 2 pellets. 150 would be magnum and 3 pellets (if using 777 or white hots). Magnum 777 (red box) would be 120 grains for 2 pellets. They do not recommend using 3 pellets with the magnum 777. Firestar is 100 grains with 3 pellets (about 33 grains per pellet). My personal experience, the white hots burn slightly cleaner but the crud ring seems harder to clean from the barrel. I never had any issues with 777 or white hots not firing.
That told me literally nothing I didn't learn by looking at the scope. God I just wanted something basic not a scope I have to find youtube videos for. What the fuck does the turret adjustment do?
Ive tried many of the bullets which were mentioned as class winners, and they all work well in my rifle. However, a few years back i switched to the T/C Cheapshot (solid lead sabot) and have not regretted this decision. This bullet is accurate, performs well on deer sized game and you dont pay a premium price.
Hello! Black powder has a corrosive nature, so it is not recommended to leave it loaded for longer than a day. After that, the powder will begin to corrode the barrel or cylinder it is in. The best recommendation is to unload any charge at the end of the day.
I have left mine loaded up to 5 years, all chambers of the cylinder went off perfectly and no corrosion occurred as they were capped and air tight sealed. 100 yr old guns have been stored loaded and fired just fine.
We reccommend starting at 100 grains (by volume) and then ladder testing up. In our experience, 110 grains (by volume) has been the sweet spot for BH209 powder. For the Accura LR-X, max load is 120 grains, and you can try 90 if the recoil on your particular unit is too much.
