The Center for Jewish History illuminates Jewish history, culture, and heritage with archives, exhibits, and programs.
In addition to its work as an archive, the Center serves the city of New York through a vast array of events that draws more than 35,000 visitors per year. The five partners and the Center itself produce important exhibitions that reflect the extraordinary richness of the Jewish historical experience over time and space. Each year, the Center and its Partners produce hundreds of programs. It is through these programs, such as lectures, conferences, roundtables, holiday programs, and musical programs, that the Center educates the general public. Indeed, our public programs help the Center bring the extraordinary tale of Jewish survival to life.

When you look at the role that Jewish lawyers played in the Black civil rights movement ask yourself a question. Who benefited? You speak one critical word you are antisemitic. They learned how to control communication and capitalize on weaknesses of Black America. No champions in my book just capitalist.
The Sassoon family was heavily involved in the shipping and the opium trade in China and India. Elias David (1820-1880), his son by his first wife, had been the first of the sons to go to China, in 1844. He later returned to Bombay, before leaving the firm to establish E.D. Sassoon & Co. I want to find out what happened to my family who was murdered around 1919 in a pogrom or other similar robbery and violence in Mohiliv-Podilskyi, Ukraine.

My grandfather was a tailor in Warsaw in the 30s. He was enlisted in the Polish Army when war broke out. After everyone in his family except his brother was executed by the SS in Sept 1939, he fled east to the Soviet Union. He was sent to Siberia to labour camps like Archangelsk and spent the next 6 yrs there until 1945 when the war ended and he returned to Warsaw. He stayed in Warsaw until the next year and then went to a DP camp in Ansbach, Bavaria called Camp Bleidorn which was next to the US army barracks. There he met my grandmother and they were married in the office of the rabbinate in Feb, 1947 in Ansbach. (I am trying to find the name of the rabbi who married them and what happened to their Ketubah). They went to Israel in late 1948 and then eventually on to Canada. Thank you for the lecture
Americans had what Jewish immigrants described as a pogrom against blacks in East St Louis in 1917. Right-wing Democrats and labor unions who controlled a largely Irish-Catholic political machine did most of the brutality. Many black people were hanged from lampposts and set on fire by drunken proto-Nazis. The Ku Klux Klan used the E StL pogroms as a way of scaring blacks from leaving the cotton fields in the Deep South.
I taught students with special needs for 30 years. I have used a cane then a walker for the last 15 years. People still do not treat people as individuals. What helps those with special needs also helps everyone. I am fighting a town for accessibility of a park system that was started after ADA. Thank you for your service to us all.

All mysteries have been unveiled and published in these "end times": the end of the old Cycle of Time that the New Cycle may be born. "Seek and ye shall find"....DESIRE and it is GIVEN!
My grandparents were from Ekaterinoslav and always called it Russia. THE UKRAINE HAS NEVER VOTED FOR ISRAEL A SINGLE TIME.AT THE UN. NOT ONCE! I am offended that you said the Jewish people are in solidarity with Ukraine. They gassed our families when the had there own Nazi SS Division (14th Division). NO WAY!
Explain to me how Trump is shutting down the judiciary. He allowed the judiciary to investigate him fully for 4 years and they tried extremely hard to find the Russia Collusion. It didn’t exist.

I talked to naval author Norman Polmar , in 1981 or 1982 when he lectured on our campus . He wrote a book on Rickover . He said Rickover and all Jews were not automatically in Coventry But one Jewish Midshipman was I do not remember the name . The classmate that had him put in Coventry was number one in the class and did not like competion . When the 4 years of the silent treatment was over at graduation many midshipman came up to him and apologized . He had a career in the navy and his son did too . The classmate that abused him died about a year after graduation ! Norman is Jewish so I assume he studied this closely so my facts should be correct

These guys cover for the bad ones and end up getting pogromed with them. They should call out the bad ones in their community instead of protecting them and using their influence to hush things up, that all just breeds suspicion and hate. My ancestor's surname was Haschart. Does anyone knows if it was a jewish surname? Does is have any mean in hebrew language? Is it like HaLevi or HaCohen? Thank you.
