So, what should we use when we can't find the glue you use. Another site said to used DAP Weldwood Contact Adhesive Landau Top & Trim HHR Solvent type Spray Grade but I only see it in gallon cans....$100.00. I'll be doing the headliner in my 1972 442 soon and need to find something good. I always use DAP Weldwood Contact Cement The Original around the house. Is that good enough? By the way, I look forward to every video you put out. You do amazing work and your videos are great!
When I see work like this I am certain that the total labor cost at the end of the restoration is well worth whatever you're charging the customer. However... Unfortunately... It should be well understood that the majority of shops, who are not bringing this level of quality and attention to detail, who are potentially charging anywhere near equivalent labor costs, are absolutely robbing people and should be called out for doing so.
61 now , when in high school I restored three Mustangs, one for me one for my sister and one for my youngest brother, mine was a 67 coupe same color green if I remember right it’s called dark Moss green , I ended up selling mine to help pay for college , sold it to my uncle. He offered it back about 15 years ago. I wanted to buy it for my daughter, but my wife Said no shoulder straps no airbags no way and at the time I didn’t have a place to keep it inside so my uncle traded it in on a new Ford escape and they displayed it for a long time on the showroom, don’t know what became of it. I wish I would’ve bought it so I’ll watch you put this one together.
You're the Mustang rebuild king so I'm going to ask you this question, where can I find the small rear quarter end cap piece that's welded to the rear light panel, rear quarter panel and truck opening? I have a 1969 coupe and can only find it for the fastback. Thanks for your help.
I've been using a spot welder for many years. Yes they cost a little money. They will spoil you what I like when putting the panels together you can have the paint between the panels plus the sealer and it welded just like the factory
Few regular people will ever find a deal like this one, but he is a known buyer who is constantly buying. So when life, divorce, death happen then motivated sellers just want cash right now today - so they go to the person who is known for always buying cars. These sellers often know that if they put some effort into selling an unwanted project car that they could do better, but that is not where they want to spend their time.
Pitty you don't give measurements of the front clip. I am doing a full front rebuilt with all new parts from dynacorn on a 67 fastback after its been totaled.
Hey there Mr Peterson I just wanted to say that I saw your Boss 302 at Vanguard Motors for sale. Thinking that in the future we can do some business together on a fun 67 fastback. Keep up the good work have a great day!!!
Your work is absolutely amazing. You wouldn't (probably would) believe how many cars ive seen that look like top$ cars till you get up close or take a look underneath. Nothing says flipper special like self tappers and bondo. Im not a ford guy but when you see quality work like this it dont matter what the make is, top end body work applies to all old cars. New sub
I really enjoy seeing your process of how you assemble these cars. I have a 69 Mach1 I’m building and a good portion of it was out when I got the car. I know the early models (65-66) inside out but not the later ones.
interesting vids, you make building a Mustang look easy! BTW, there is no need to put the U Tube canned muzac over the time lapse portions, if you didn't bother, no one would care. It is the content that we are here for.
True perfection, everything you do is absolutely beautiful and perfect, also your attention to perfection and cleanliness is second to none, if anyone else noticed that you took your sneakers off when working inside the car. Respect!!!
It’s so nice to see a brand new old classic being built, without lots of ECUs, fly by wire connections and computer controls everywhere! Bless you buddy! Live long and prosper young man! 🖖
Yesterday, I drove down a dirt side road in Palatka, Florida and spied the shell of a 1969 Mach in red. No trunk lid, no hood, no engine. It looked like an abandoned project and made me sad.
Most of the other Crown Vic conversations I've seen are boxed, using the stock tubes looks like it will sit about an inch lower and I especially like your rear attachment plate that didn't have to be cut into the frame, making this a cleaner, easier and less expensive way to go ❤
I walked into an old quonset hut shop in Gresham Oregon, back in 1991 and about died. I was there to buy a 1968 Camaro. The old man saw I loved old cars so he invited me in to show me his "job". He restored Mustangs. He had 6 fully restored Boss 429's, 2 fully restored Boss 302's, a 1964 1/2 convertible Pony, 2 original Shelby Cobras in a state of repair... and an impressive, still crated and tagged Boss 302 engine. I have never forgot that once in a lifetime experience. You, sir, and that old man are equally impressive!! Very very nice work.
