Learning to play an instrument of any kind is in my opinion one of the best things you can do. For me the Guitar is one of if not the best of the lot. I've been playing guitar for around 35 years. I'm not a professional player. I'm a passionate amateur, who would like to share that passion with you. If you can't find what you're looking for, don't understand or you disagree with something I say or show, please use the comments section to let me know. I'd also love to hear how you're progressing. Or just say hello.

Always remember. There is no such thing as a dumb question and if you're not making mistakes you're not learning.
To Be Honest @AlexZ03 42 sounds a bit high to me but I don't doubt there are more than 10. I found folks couldn't understand why or what practical use there is for some of the more obscure chord shapes I came up with when I tried to map every possible combination of those chords, so I thought it best to stick to fewer but hopefully more useful shapes. By no means meant to imply there are only 10.
I really want to learn this one on baritone uke.. still pretty new to it, so not sure I will be able to figure it out. Will give it a try on my tenor though... Thank you for this!
That chord shape has been coming up all over recently in the songs I’ve been playing and it’s super hard to jump into and some time I think it was thst Arctic monkeys no hisses he takes the middle finger off bit keeps barring lol so cool my friend
I s'pose it's the same as most other chord shapes in that they're all super difficult to jump in to until you've done it a few thousand times ;) Now then, Artic Monkeys is a band that keeps popping up for me recently too. I really must delve into them, they seem to have passed me by when they first came on the scene, not sure how I missed them TBH. Any recommendations?
@@fret-less the album view from the afternoon and favorite worst nightmare are the best by miles there newer stuff is no where near what they first sounded like they capture the common struggles of life very well and use very Yorkshire language lol, I bet that you look good on the dance floor, still take you home, Mardy bum are all great tbh the first two albums there’s not a bad song on either of them sorry for the long essay hahah happy listening my friend 😄👌🏻
@@rossiniogates sweeet. I’ll go have a listen. Love that he sings in his own accent. I do remember some of the singles even though I wasn’t really aware who it was. Yorkshire accent reminds me of my childhood growing up there.
Sure is. In this shape, If you were to consider the note on the B string as the root. The high E string would give you a flattened 3rd, the G string would be a 5th and the D string another flattened 3rd so technically in this case Am/C. It's all about the context. Thanks for pointing this one out.
