With the government hell bent on extending fluoridation schemes our elected Councils and MPs need to be held to account on this issue of officially dumping toxic waste into the water, as well. I am amazed that anyone would deem it appropriate to use the monopoly position of water companies as an unique method of delivering medication. Such flagrant abuse of such a vital service should never have made it to the drawing board as any ONE of the following Red Flags should have been sufficient to halt such a proposal in its tracks. No medication is deemed to be safe for everyone, yet this would effectively subject everyone in the water supply area to this form of mass medication. This denies people their Individual Right of Informed Consent. Setting an accurate dosage level in the water is meaningless as some people drink over 10 times as much as others. Prescribed medications would normally consider the person's needs and take into account their age, sex, weight, ethnic group, medical history, allergies etc. In the case of fluoridation there are additional factors as such schemes have fallen far short of normal Public Safety requirements, as indicated by these ADDITIONAL Red Flags: The claimed "optimum dose" fails to provide the normal Safety Margin, especially when other sources of fluoride are taken into account. Lacks a Medical Product's Licence. Even when sourced from air pollution scrubbers it is not purified to Pharmaceutical Standards, so contains a cocktail of contaminants, including heavy metals and other neurotoxins. There is no control over the total dosage, as fluoride may be imbibed from other sources, indeed tea and coffee (which has a high, natural fluoride content) drinkers may be exceeding the claimed "optimum dose" BEFORE any extra of this cumulative poison is added to the water. The treatment can not be readily changed or stopped, if so desired. This treatment is only intended for children, whose teeth are developing, so the majority of the population are needlessly exposed to its toxic effects. Not under Medical Supervision - indeed some people are unaware of when or whether they are being subjected to this "medication". For various sections of the population it is contra-indicated; eg those sensitive/allergic to fluoride, people with thyroid or kidney problems, some ethnic groups which are more susceptible to fluorides toxic effects (such as Hispanics and Afro-Americans - due to differences in their genes). Ignores the clear warning on the Safety Data Sheets for the fluoride compounds used - where they are classified as "Hazardous" and specifically stipulates that it "SHOULD NOT BE SWALLOWED."

Shame some water companies are not doing the job they are being paid for - providing a clean, safe supply of potable water. Imposing fluoridation, on the pretext that it benefits children's teeth is another ABuse of their monopoly position. If fluoride was perfectly safe and effective, as the poison pushers have repeatedly claimed, why are the compounds used in fluoridation not supported with a Medical Product's Licence? In the same way fluoride toothpastes warn that it should not be swallowed. Proponents now generally attribute the claimed benefit to topical application rather than systemic. Using the water supply as a unique method of delivering "medication" inevitably denies people their Right of Consent. A moments thought should enable anyone with some common sense to realise that an accurate dose cannot be administered in this manner. Some people drink over 10 times as much as others. The appropriate dose should take into account the person's needs, age, sex, weight, health, potential effects etc. The level set for water fails to take into account the amount a person imbibes from other sources. Tea and coffee, which have a high, natural fluoride content, could mean that a person already receives the supposed optimum “dose” of this cumulative poison, even without more being added to the drinking water! Resultant cases of dental fluorosis, the first visible sign of chronic, fluoride poisoning, show that it does more harm than good. Dentists are only trained on teeth, so would not be qualified to even consider other adverse effects, such as reduction in IQ levels, hip fractures, thyroid problems etc. Such failures to respect basic, medical safeguards show that they have failed in their Duty of Care and are therefore Unfit for Office. Were it not deemed a product, such contamination of water would be illegal and the culprit(s) open to prosecution. Never realised that they released into windermere it's in a national park ffs. I cannot believe that water companies not using profits to futureproof the network isn't a criminal misappropriation of funds. Also a negligence of their obligations. Criminal charges for illegal dumping of controlled waste should carry stiff sentences for those responsible, imho.
So what is the answer, we know it’s to stop sewage waste but there’s bound to be a natural element that can clean the water safely , I know they’ve been using some kind of crustaceans in other parts of the world that may prove helpful if investigated ; it’s a disgrace that the sewage plants are allowed to carry on like cowboys
Please remember we pay United Utilities to dispose of our waste in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Also, there are many homes and small hotels on the lake with inadequate septic tanks, not sewer treatment plants, which discharge waste. These will only be upgraded when the properties are sold. Congratulations on your work.
It's imperative that this ecological problem is sorted out in the shortest possible time. As with plastics in the oceans, this is a genuine 'green' problem that has been allowed to get worse and worse by a corporate mind-set that puts profit for the few before the well-being of the many. This is also the same corporate mind-set that controls the private central banking system that has unlawfully plunged the entire world into unsustainable debt led by the virtually unknown Bank for International Settlements. It is also the same corporate mind-set that came up with Anthropogenic Global Warming back in the Eighties. CO2, which accounts for only 0.04% of the Earth's atmosphere, is the Gas of Life...if we drop below 0.029%, the oxygen-giving foliage on our planet will start to die. 'Climate Change' is natural and has been going on for millions of years - just ask any geo-archaeologist or check out the data put out by the Smithsonian Institute. And for particularly nasty weather-events, don't rule out deliberate geo-engineering to create fear in people's minds. It's also alarming that the BBC and other mainstream media, not to mention our politicians, have shut down any scientific debate on the subject - we are told that the science is now settled! Only in a fascist state would that be allowed. And, finally, when you see these annual COP conferences, just ask yourself one simple question...would you seriously buy a second-hand EV from the likes of John Kerry, Al Gore, Tony Blair and Mark Carney? I rest my case!

The outfall of the Penrith United Utilities sewage works is the same into the River Eamont and that goes into what was England's reputed best salmon & trout river, The Eden!
Renationalise all public services. It may make them less entertaining (remember British Rail) but they would work properly and cost a hell of a lot less. Many things work better in Scotland simply because they are run as services rather than as money trees for the already rich. Those responsible for corruption at the top can then be named, shamed and kicked out of office. I know it takes time and effort but in the end the people do have a day, and those bearing ultimate responsibility are known. They are called ministers and sit on the government front benches in Parliaments, .be it in Hollyrood or in Westminster.
Wonderful work. United Utilities are shameless realising that the Regulator is not going to hold them to account. The trouble stems further back though. Like so many areas of the public service the budgets have been cut and the pertinent area in this case is the department responsible for measuring the state of our rivers - they have been cut drastically so they are now ineffectual.
