I have a 99 4runner and i have done most of the upgrades you have from watching 🎉your videos. Pan hard bar, opt offroad 4 link in the rear. Now im doing my 3 inch toytec springs, and shocks. Im using the toytec boss 2.0 coilover in the front and matching boss 2.0 shocks in the rear. Thank you soo much for all the good videos showing us whats up. Love your runner!! Great videos!!
Looks great, I'm in the same situation as yourself, another option I thought of, was custom make a retro Grill with the letters, TOYOTA. Not sure. Also, how's the air cooling? The Badlands winch kind of blocks air flow. Wish list: Winch reliable, powerful, fits good on an Addicted Offroad bumper. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears.
Read the description. Supposedly this is in 2wd, low gear. Obviously with that much flex and all tires having ground contact it's not totally unbelievable. Still though.. Prove it.
Shout out to Austin Garage for not playing shiiity music and allowing us to experience the rumble in the jungle and the exhaust notes. The Black 3rd gen is bad assssss. Love it. Keep it guys.
@@austinsoffroadgarageyeah I get it lol. I wish they still made those tires tbh. Not a lot of big tire radial options for 15" wheels anymore. Just interco and pitbull tires.
Great video!! Where was this at? reminds me of the mess I got into last year with my 3rd gen. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8d1INE2PMUs.html
Questions for you: Daughter has a 00 Manual Trans, Head gaskets were improved in 01 right? will an 01-02 automatic engine work in hers? How do I pick a good used one? JDM isn't the way? Thanks
Hey man are you able to give me some pointers of how to beef up the front end on my 2002 4 runner? I have 33’s on. With a simple 2inch lift. Last year the ball joint broke off while driving on the highway. Please let me know what you think and costs can be discussed
You can throw some Eimkeith goodies in there. As far as ball joints go buy oem and check them often. That's the downfall of this platform. Total chaos makes a BJ eliminator kit but its $$$.
You said there is so many options out there for the 3rd gens but I find it so hard to get real answers on available shocks and springs especially if you want to run 35s or 37s
First off are looking for more lift to run a bigger tire? because that's only going to help a little. To run 35s or bigger you will be cutting the fenders\ fire wall on a 3rd gen. As far as options there is quite a few. google search is awesome.
@@austinsoffroadgarage thanks Google has been less then affective that's why iv been watching videos like YOURS to find some insite on what bolt on shocks are available with what spring to be able to run 35s AFTER trimming. Iv spoken to accutune off road and they said good luck if you want to go more then a 2-3" lift. Iv contacted seller built which was very helpful and they suggested using fj80 front springs in the rear and he gave me quantifiable numbers that make since instead of just telling me to Google it. As far as I can tell nobody makes drop in shocks for lift over 3 I'm sure I could buy a couple sets of shocks and springs and find the right combo. I assumed you could shed some like on this being as youve been in the 4runner game for a few years now and I'm just getting into it.
Just finished all the hard parts! Gonna weld mine onto my 1st gen Tacoma frame tomorrow super stoked! What type of paint did you use for your frame for the finish? The older Toyotas are notorious for rust development so I'm curious so what what has worked
Hi - after you had installed these - did you ever adjust them backwards, like you said you might at the end of the video? How did that go? Was it hard to do once they were installed?
