So by the looks of this video it was 11 years ago... Hank said it'd take a decade for it to come back. Anyone in Tuscaloosa wanna give an update? Are yall back yet?
Hank Williams Jr's Daddy would be very proud of him. This is how his Daddy would want him to be, without having known either one. He has a heart for others. From A Nashville Girl (MUSIC CITY USA PROUD!)
Bocephus real he don't play and he don't act like he's better than anybody he's very if you need him he's really a good down to earth they sent human being he's known for his music but he has a heart big as Nashville!!!!
So.. I'm trying to figure this out - Hank was born in Shreveport La., but somehow made his home in Cullman Al, Tennessee and then some? And likes jumbalaya and Cajun food? I'm confused 🙂. How'd he get from jumbalaya to Cullman?
@@tncountryboy06 Thanks for the feedback. So, correct me if I'm mistaken, jumbalaya is a Louisiana thing, right? Not Alabama? Different food culture down there. I passed through parts of it years ago in pursuit of bluegrass music. Love good BBQ, but chitlins are a little over my head 🙂
You may not know me but I do know that you had a great man that had played in your band for a long time before he had getting a divorce and he had to go his name is Joe Hamilton his grandmother was my mother's baby sister who was me i just love you hank Jr and I love your music you are the greatest of all if you ever see this love you hank keep up the good music
You ever hear about the legendary country singer/songwriter Hank Williams senior, He was Hank jr's dad and was born and raised just south of Montgomery Alabama. He and HANK JR'S MOTHER are buried in Montgomery! Hank JR has deep roots in Alabama!
the girl reporter was right about the house in Vinemont. You turn off 31 and go behind the skating rink and he lived off a gravel county road. His gate with musical notes is still there. He lived here at the time he was visiting his place in Montana when he wrote Country Boy Can Survive. He was writing about his place in Vinemont he bought after he sold his A Frame on Lake Catoma.
Hank is a REALLY NICE man. I got his autograph TWICE here in NJ... in '73, when he was famous but not a SUPERSTAR yet...and... later, around 1980, after he had become 'the man' in country music! He was VERY NICE to me BOTH times! REALLY like him! SUPER guy! I am black.
That's so cool! You met him twice! I think it's pretty awesome that you're a fan of Hank Jr too. I don't know many black folks who even like country music, let alone Hank Jr. I think having an open mind is a beautiful thing.
That's how it's done in the South people. We don't sit on our hands and whine about the government helping us and depend on government help. We jump in and help our neighbors out. Special thanks to Bocephus for jumping right in on this and calling in all those favors. God bless you bud.
Hank is a true class act ,a true American patriot that has done countless things in the past 3 decades to help fellow Americans when they were in need ,and he supports our law enforcement that risk their lives day in and day out ,and to top it ball off he is one of ,IF NOT THE GREATEST COUNTRY MUSIC SINGER OF ALL TIME ,GOD BLESS YOU HANK WILLIAMS JR.
Right here in this footage, if Hank Jr would've been standing 30 feet away from the camera, he looked almost identical to my dad. My dad was several years older than Hank. The body build, shape of his face, those sunglasses, hair color, beard & all........exactly the same. Hank's nose is a tad broader & shorter than dad's was. That's why I say "at 30 feet away"........lol. Of course they would look more different without the shades, and due to old injuries/scars, Hank always wears those shades in public.
I am so sorry that I didn't know about what happened in Cullman Alabama, I loved that little town . My husband and I live there for a while cause we were working for Hank jr. My husband built a bus for him and it's in Paris Alabama in a
Nashville was overlooked by Washington in their bad flood and so was Mississippi, Alabama and Lousiana in this tornado outbreak. Wrong part of the country for obama to get involved with I guess.
