@@CitizenOfBabylon I had a 25% off coupon from Harbor Freight and a 5000w inverter generator somehow ended up in the back of my truck. I still have no idea how that happened... ;)
All you can do is try to put them on a constant voltage constant current power supply and see if they come back to life. There are no special tricks. Sorry.
@@NoelBarlaujust got my Maverick with 54" deck and Kawasaki motor 2 days ago. Went 54" solely because of my shed door opening. It's 60" wide and the 54 " is the largest that will fit (measures 58" total width). So far I've added a hitch, Trac Seat and Bad Boy mulch kit
Actually prefer these smaller one. Stepped down from a larger generator to the Wen 4000. It meets the advertised 7 hours on 2 gallons. Not so much saving money, just don't like to store that much fuel.
Wen is a great brand. They are a US company that has been around since the 60's. They may use Chinese sourced parts in some products, but they do their due diligence and design most of their products in-house. No different than Apple or whatever other company that sources labor and parts from other countries but designs it in-house. I find it odd that so many people think Wen itself is a Chinese company. I guess because they make affordable products and the name sounds Chinese? Funny thing is, most of the competing "premium" brand products use the same sourcing tactics. Champion for example which is kind of a premium generator brand-name actually makes almost identical generators to some of Wen's models. Same engines and all. but you pay a premium for them for some reason. These Wen generators are a fantastic deal.
@@Gubers To be fair, the name does sound Asian. There's a character in Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld series of books named Wen the Eternally Surprised, who is from the equivalent of Asia on the Discworld map.
I know this is a old video. Could i get a few reference dimensions on the dresser attachment parts ? diameter, length etc. Looking to make my own set. thanks. feel free to contact me through my email in my profile
Hi, what is the Sta-Bil that you added to the gas? Is it the 360 Protection Ethanol Treatment and Stabilizer? Do you add Sta-Bil every time you refuel the gas or only the first time running the generator? And about the Lucas break-in oil, after the engine is broken in, do you still use this oil or do you change to a different oil? If change to a different oil, what brand and type of oil? And how many hours do you need to run to consider that the engine is broken-in? thank you.
Lots of great questions here. I only run non-ethanol gas whenever possible, so I just use the standard red Sta-Bil in that. I put it in every 5-gallon can of gas each time I fill them up so they're always ready to go. I've found non-ethanol gas with stabilizer will last over a year if stored properly in a well-sealed container. If you're going to be running the generator a lot and the fuel won't be stored long-term, then you can skip the stabilizer entirely. I consider break-in to be complete at 50 hours, but there's no hard number on that. After your own personal break-in period you can switch to full synthetic of whatever weight is recommended by the manufacturer. I look at it as if the wear stops as soon as you put in the synthetic oil, so you want a good long break-in period to ensure proper seating of the piston rings.
Hi I just bought one brand new. Do I need to break in the engine? What kind of oil should I use. What brand and type of oil? Also, should I use regular gas or premium gas? Thank you
Still running great, starts on the first pull every time. Granted, it doesn't get used very much, but it has been on a few camping trips and was used to charge a battery bank to power an inverter overnight. I have zero complaints regardless of how cheap it was when I bought it. I'd honestly take it over a Honda EU2000i, but not the EU2200i. But for the price, it's amazing.
I don’t know why they would pack the hub with grease on this trailer. Pack the bearings and shoot a few pumps of grease in. If it was a boat trailer submerged in water then u would want the grease pressure to keep water out. Had a quad trailer and bearings were still good from factory after ten years. Boat trailers I Repack every season
You can relube using the fitting if done right. They must have used a power grease gun or air and or not rotated tires. Great video and insight though. Always good to inspect and do manually
I have something similar but batteries show full voltage..problem is on load they turn from 78 volts to 62 volts...wondering if any recommended method to get them refreshed and regain their power. I have a professional hf7 charger 72 volts 30 amps if that helps. Thanks
Mine dies when I put a load on while in eco mode but can handle load fine in eco off mode. Switch seems to work as it idle up and back down with no load when I witch it back and forth?
Completely filling the whole hub full of grease is not good for any axle style. Spinning the wheel during greaseing will not blow the seal out nor push it out. Too much grease in the hub so full and leaving no pocket of air space for grease exspansion is what will push a seal or actually rip the rubber apart. This happens in vehicle axle housings where the housing breather gets plugged. Just plain do NOT fill axle hub full of grease and do not leave "end play" as so many so called repair suggestions state. Leaving end play allows the weight that is being supported by the bearing to concentrate on fewer bearing rollers. No end play assures weight is distributed more evenly among more rollers due to the tapered design of the roller style bearings. After packing bearings for 54 years and having NO bearing failures due to no so called necessary end play. ALL trailer axles come out with excessive free play and not enough grease. Guess what? Bearing failure! None of my trailers have bearing failure even after twenty five years.
very good informative video!! this is my next project, where did you buy all the parts/did ya shop around? did you call lippert to get all the part#'s first?? thanks for any response in advance 🤠
