A great visual record of the running day David. Thanks for sharing it. The black Mamod is a Mamod Quarry locomotive, and the other black/red loco is a gas fired Peter Jones 'Dacre' built using several Roundhouse components.
It’s too easy too be picky and critical, but the front lamp on Countess should be painted red. It’s a great railway and that Penrhyn lining on Charles is excellent 👍
Most excellent! Can you tell me the radius of the curves at the bottom of the garden please? When I get round to constructing my garden layout, it will be a similar rectangle to yours.
Hi John it’s not my railway and it looks as though Ian who’s railway it is has made the curves himself. Peco do SM-32 set curves at 30 inch and 38 inch and you can also buy SM-32 flexible track and bend the track to suit your garden but the bigger the curve the better for the bigger locos but most loco can handle the 38 inch curves ok.
I assume, like my Auric, the radio control is on the piston reverser, while the regulator is manual. I think if you have the regulator closed more, you’ll find she runs more smoothly.
On my Genesis it has a single channel control for speed and direction and the other channel is for the whistle so the speed and direction is very sensitive but it works ok
Nice close up of a toy train. In combination with the vegetation in the garden looks great. Just getting into trains @ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k428pHnuszw.htmlsi=RlneZwOaIpaZ1IB_
