How about the people killed by Toussaint L'Ouverture who invaded Santo Domingo in 1801 killing most dominicans. Jean Jacques Dessalines who invaded in 1805 killing the populations of the Dominican towns of Santiago and Moca. How about the slavery and oppression imposed by Jean Pierre Boyer when he invaded Santo Domingo in 1822 until Dominicans declared independance in 1844. How about the haitians DID NOT ACCEPT the Dominican independance and invaded Santo Domingo 37 times failing miserably everytime until Haiti finally accepted independance in 1867? @@themmmfamily7130 Haiti or Quusqueya is the original taino name of the island, way before slaves and Europeans came to the island. The country Haiti, however, was created last and it was a result of the mismanagement of the Spanish authorities, Haiti was not supposed to be there as a country.
