That is a Caymas 28 HB. It is actually a customers, but we have a 281 HB that is basically the same hull with slight differences. It has twin 300 V8’s. If you want more info about the Caymas HB line up let me know and I’ll be happy to PM you.
Red tide is the blooming of the microorganism algae, called Karenia Brevis, in the waters of Bay and Gulf counties. During red tide blooms, the toxins produced by K. brevis are also filtered by the scallops and accumulate in their gut.
They are nice boats, however DRAMA with the foam system to keep it from sinking is an issue. SeaArk oughta go Airbox for flotation, no foam. Have such on my 3 duck boats, pull the drain plug every time so the hot weather in the summer won’t do possible damage to the welds.
i haven't had any good results using muffs on the lower unit of my Merc 150. As you can see, this guy isn't getting any water out of the discharge either. For some reason the water pump just won't pick up the water using the muffs. I've been using the water connection on the left side by the trim switch and it works just fine.
Robert, on some I've noticed it takes them getting warmed up to pee water, and when the shop gives it a little throttle it will. When you use the flush port on the side, are you running the engine or is it off?
I use a 100 gallon rubbermaid bin to flush mine , pretty sure it isn’t good to run the engine with muffs on the 150 XS. Not enough water pressure / good way to ruin the impellar
I got one just like yours.. for some reasons it won’t show water temperature and clearly depth..( I don’t know how to sent pictures) to explain.. help?

@@theboatguy wow. That is crazy prices. The manufacturers have price out regular middle class people. I’ll keep my boat a long time and repower before paying that. Maybe enough people will do that and force the prices down.
Evan, it takes some getting used to! This is a stick steering boat. The driver sits in the front seat, and can move the stick forward to go right, back to go left. Boats like this are most popularly used as river boats.
