Love the video. Was a big factor in convincing me to buy this model. Can you elaborate how you installed the fireplace? E.g. how/if you reinforced the wall to hold the weight, how you ran the wiring, etc? Thank you in advance!
@brooksfiesinger1290
@brooksfiesinger1290 28 дней назад
1. Added a separate circuit breaker to the outdoor outlet (where the Fridge is plugged in). This is easy because the wire is already separate. 2. Ran the plug to the outdoor outlet where the fridge is plugged in 3. There is already Studs in that wall. I mounted the fireplace bracket on those studs. The fireplace is NOT as heavy as it looks. Good luck!
@TheRealThumbski
@TheRealThumbski 27 дней назад
Maybe dumb follow up but if the wire is separate doesn't that mean it's already on its own circuit? Could you possibly provide a link to the breaker switch? Also, I have a 2024 and think they might have removed those studs because it feels pretty hollow to me. I'll have to snake something between the two panels from the fridge vent to see if something is in there. If not I'll probably add another vertical trim piece surface mount the bracket to those. Will stick out a bit more but oh well.
@brooksfiesinger1290
@brooksfiesinger1290 27 дней назад
@@TheRealThumbski they have two wires running to one breaker, so even though it's a separate wire, it's on the same breaker as the other outlets. Double check the studs. The vertical beam that the net is mounted on at a minimum is on that stud, but it's been a couple years... It may be horizontal instead of vertical. Take out the vent cover for the fridge under the fireplace and stick a stick in there and you should be able to feel it.
@TheRealThumbski
@TheRealThumbski 26 дней назад
Understand about the wires. I'll dig into it and see what I can find. I misunderstood at first that you even used the same outlet as the fridge so that helps a lot. They did remove the net from the 24s so I'm guessing removed the studs as well. Stuck a tape measure all the way in and got nothing. I'm going to try adding another vertical trim piece and mount to those. Here's hoping 🤞🏼

Hi thanks for the video! Sorry if missed, what year is this 2963bh? Also what year, trim and engine is your f150? Sounds like it’s been working well for you?
@brooksfiesinger1290
@brooksfiesinger1290 5 месяцев назад
Thanks for watching! 2021 2963bh, which was the first redesign and then I think there was a second redesign in 2023 where they eliminated some of the cabinets and moved to a new AC unit, but the rest of the same. The f150 is a 2017 lariat 3.5l Ecoboost max tow 6.5' bed. I used to have an F-250, and really like the torque curves on the EcoBoost. It drives really well even loaded up to maximum. I have another video on the truck itself for towing and hauling: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZBtUEUIeQ0E.htmlsi=_4vMA2n3p6QT_fKH

@@daveburkey5170 dedicated circuit to breaker to outside kitchen outlet (20a), it's easy because there's already a separate wire at the box. Use the vent hole behind the fridge to run the wire. Fireplace includes wall mount brackets. I cut out the vertical board just so it looked nicer!

For me a vehicle must have a key and I even hate the ones that have a stupid chip in them. Just another thing to fail and cost me more. I would never buy an electric vehicle. I live in New England where power outages are a thing, no power = no charging = no transportation. It gets real cold here in the winter. With the heat going full blast and slipping on the slick roads I would get less than half of it's advertised range. How much would it cost to have a charging system put in my house? Too much money I would say. An extra added cost that no one talks about.
@brooksfiesinger1290
@brooksfiesinger1290 10 месяцев назад
The smart comes with a charger and it charges overnight with a regular household outlet! I understand the concerns about power outages. Fortunately for me I have a whole suite of vehicles and only one is electric. On the flip side I do know a number of people buy the Ford lightnings for that purpose... to keep their house running during power outages by running off the truck! I do acknowledge they aren't for everyone. For my city work daily driver, the electric car is perfect. 11 mile commutes parking in tight spots... I have a truck I use to pull my camper and race car, and I can't even get that truck into the parking garages because it's too tall! It is fun to have a go-kart like this as a third or fourth vehicle. Unless you live IN a city, I wouldn't recommend it as your only vehicle. I appreciate your thoughts. Thanks for sharing your perspective and enjoy your day!

Another reason for the top mounted winch is so you have less of a chance to rub the cable with whatever berm you can’t get over. 9 times out of 10, you’ll be hooking up your winch upwards and the lower mounted winch could cause an issue.

I bought that rear view mirror after watching your video. But how do you tighten it to your bar? Those inserts that allow you to adjust the tightness seem to be missing a piece?
@brooksfiesinger1290
@brooksfiesinger1290 11 месяцев назад
It should have come with a rubber gasket (or two) that fit inside the "C". With that gasket in place, it fits the 1.75" roll cage. The pioneer is technically 1.625" which is a slightly smaller diameter. Clamped all the way down, mine does hold OK, but to improve the hold, you can either 1. wrap it first with electrical tape, 2. Use felt tape, rubber tape, or foam tape strips, or 3. use a thin piece of foam, rubber, or liner. I use a piece of non-slip tool chest liner any time I clamp something down on painted or powder coated surfaces, so didn't think twice about it here. With a piece of tool chest liner under it (Others use 2 sided tape or electrical tape), it holds very tightly without a problem- been offroading quite a bit and its held perfectly. I do the same on the side mirrors. Glad to show a picture but unfortunately can't post to youtube.

Agree with most observations, however, Charging - is good in my opinion; but would add that it does not like a delay charge for tariff charging. Seats are indeed comfy in my fabric version. I have a '19 passion cabrio with orange inside and out so i like the orange ambient lighting. I like an actual key being locked in a vehicle, could do without the swirch blade though. No heated seats on mine 😢 and i did pick up in used market after a few i3's - loved the REX option and would like in my smart since no DC. If these had 120 mile range and DC charging these would be perfect. The tie down points on crossbar is for an wind screen that helps with wind when top is down
@brooksfiesinger1290
@brooksfiesinger1290 11 месяцев назад

Definitely better than it was when we got it with the AC duct fixes, but it's not winning any "best ac system awards". My understanding is the new ones are dropping furion and moving to a larger ge unit, which suggests the factory knew it was a bit undersized to start with.

Nice job on the video. I don’t see any links, hoping you could provide link to the sink inset you found and the propane level, those are good finds. A couple of ideas from our spirit. One I use the rod compartment for some spare pex, and outdoor broom, and an external tv mast. I have found a good directional antenna does much better than the provided antenna. Two, looks like you could do what I did with the outlets and upgrade to remodel boxes with traditional outlets,no more pulling outlets out of walls. The ones next to the bed are the simplest, just screw through the top of the box into the top support. The other outlets require some 4-6” 1x2s glued to the back of the panel board that you can screw into when installing the remodel boxes.

@brooksfiesinger1290
@brooksfiesinger1290 2 года назад
1. You have to have all the tech hardware that tja requires. In the US, that's the terra with tech package. Then you need an European steering wheel or a quidzel. Then a coder needs to activate the tja function inside the bmw software... Then it's done and you can enjoy!!
