I would probably break mine trying to figure it out. Mine is a ‘61 gold plated and it looks harder to try to get the spring out for cleaning. I’ll probably just send it to someone for a tune up instead of risking breaking something, or marring the gold.
Great tutorial, you about spot on with the measurements, as long as doors shut and open together, and the clicking noise when adjusting the numbers, and nothing is out of wack then good to go., also if you are looking for a clamp type puller to separate the razor, look up golf club shaft removal vice named Golfworks, they are over 2oo dollars but make one your self with a few vice`s, and-convert,for a fraction of the price, They can be used for separating the razor without risking damage with mole grips .and you can buy your own soft grip padding in the jaws, it will pull the razor apart where needed, and get your self a cheap press to push razor together.
