I definitely agree. They should have opted to put in at least a few GBs onto the board. Basically, it can barely fit 1 supernatural expansion into the board. A big miss, in my opinion.

Hey, thanks! It was quick and to the point. Just got the keyboard delivered this week. I love arpeggiators for playing music but they are a blast for linear drum patterns too 😀. Takes a bit of practice but fun to experiment with. Whats real fun with this keyboard... Set your pattern in a latch, manually modulate the "type", "velocity", "chance" while turning things off and on in the pads 😀
This is a helpful video. Thanks for creating it. I have a question about setting up the chords on the pads. Does the transpose function affect the chords on the pads? For example, if you program the chords in the C Major scale onto the pads and then decide to play in a different key, can you use the transpose function to move the chords on the pads up or down to the new key?
I have a new series covering as much as possible on the board this week. One episode covers this idea. The scales episode. When in scales mode, you have multiple pads that are highlighted, allowing you to transpose the step sequencer notes. Also, you can adjust the key/type of scale you're in. Hopefully, that helps. I can make a video on whatever I like. I didn't post the name of the website because that would inadvertently promote the website. I've seen all kinds of channels get stupid claims against them for stupid reasons. There is plenty of screen shots to identify the website if you come across it. The main point of the video isn't to call out a specific website but to show producers looking to buy plugins how to spot an obvious scam.
what if it is not a scam? How do you know the keys are keygens cracked? Is that what the website is advertising? What if it is an insider doing the company dirty on their spare time stealing keys and selling them on their own undermining the company?
While this is possible, it is highly unlikely. Chances are much higher they're selling cracked plugin. Some people may be OK with that while others are, unfortunately, getting duped. The odds of them having real keys for sale went out the window the moment they showed nexus 2 for sale.

paying for a "Cracked" plugin is the stupidest thing you can do. Either crack it properly from torrents or just go buy the damn thing. Wait till Xmas or june ish, they all go on sale. Is it ok to steal a car because you can't afford it, then give them money years later when you can afford it? No matter how you spin it or cherry, pick it, the bill gets passed to the people who actually purchase the product. Hence, so many places are going subscription based? The consumer foots the bill and gets screwed because people are cracking software. They're literally protecting their platforms. Not all, but most companies have adjusted to theft, and unfortunately swapped to subscriptions. Those who haven't gone subscription based created online connections to use their products to ensure their customers are customers. There's a lot to unpack with piracy, and yes, viruses are amongst them.

These companies will take your license without a care. Cracking dies more for these companies than they can admit. Never bought any of the software I have if I hadn’t had a cracked version first in my team sit on your high horse all you like.
What companies are taking licenses from their customers? If that was the case, I'm sure the online community would SLAM them for it. There's so many free trails nowadays that the need to "crack" a plugin first isn't needed. There are so many free plugins out there to make music with, free DAW, etc. Plus, there are countless reviews on vsts to get an idea whether or not they're worth purchasing. Let's be honest. Most people who are using cracked plugins will almost never buy the program. This also devalues music as people who crack plugins have no "skin" in the game. They're usually trying to sell music made from plugins they never paid for. Not a high horse at all. The means and information is at an all-time high to be informed before making a purchase that was never there 10 plus years ago. Plus, sites like these scam people who might actually think they're buying the real deal stealing money from the customer and the company.
I would imagine most people that buy these think they are getting a good deal and its legit. If they knew it was cracked, then they should know its free.
I was living in China a few years ago and was looking for sales on FabFilter plugins. I found a posting for the whole collection for about $200 on Taobao. Of course it was too good to be true, so I messaged the seller, and they more or less gave away the whole game. They were selling seats for legitimate licenses they had purchased. Not a crack, got 'em lol. This stuff kind of goes unaddressed in China because there's not a lot of reasonable action you can take as a foreign entity. That's not to say that there weren't authorized sellers of course; I bought a ton of hardware and software on platforms like Taobao and Xianyu (like a hyper-Craigslist), all legitimate, some used. I can't imagine that these websites are operating out of North America; they must be somewhere it's difficult to reach. Addendum: as for Plugin Boutique, they're a great website, but I really wish they'd fix their "My Products" page. Management of your own purchases is dire, lol. It's just a paginated, undifferentiated list of everything you've bought in descending chronological order with a search bar that doesn't handle fuzzy lookups. I can't be bothered to remember whether it's "PluginBoutique" or "Plugin Boutique" haha.

These sites are selling you cracked plugins. You’ll usually get the plugin just fine, but they will contain a keygen or some weird instructions on how to install them in a non-standard way.

@@GammaLensMedia never said it was smart, but if you’re on OSX you’re likely fine. Also most keygens don’t contain viruses - these sites want you coming back to spend more money. They’re literally just taking warez scene releases and repackaging them and charging you for it. I’m not condoning buying from these sites, just commenting on how they usually work.

These are if you purchased Ableton Directly no upgrades. I upgraded from 11 standard to 12 suite for $350ish. The dollar keeps falling behind unfortunately.....
the problem is. I have seen an add poppin up on facebook I don't know how many times from a site "pluginboutiques" and did send facebook the message that its a scam site, even plugin boutique knows about it but apparently they can't shut them down. So be careful specially with adds on social media, mostly its ok but often its scam,specially when they come really really cheap

This is dumb question, so when your making your videos and you have your headphones on. How are you recording the audio coming out of the keyboard for the viewers to listen?
It's not a dumb question. I use a program called OBS it captures audio from the computer. However, I have to use a vst called restream to send audio from Ableton into OBS because the computers built in drivers are lackluster when dealing with audio delay.

They don't this was an extreme method to try to see how well the polyphony would hold up. According to many people they're worried about buying the board due to "polyphony" issues. Have had people stay away because they've had polyphony issues. However for my use of the board this isn't an issue for me.
I agree with you...The Full Zenology subscrption should be included if I purchased the Roland Hardware Synth. I'd say use both/And. If I want ot gig completely away from a computer setup the board give me that option. If want to have access to most of my ZenCore sound for music composition when i'm at a computer away from the physical fantom, The Zenology software is super useful. As a hardware owner of some of the legacy synth - (IMO) they still need to work on how the Mod Wheel interacts with both sets of sounds.
It would be nice to show support for their hardware users. It's really hatf because I love the fantom 0. However they crippled it with the lack of storage. However for a producer like me the money isn't well spent for the flagship, When I really and just after the roland sounds not a workstation. Zenology is a great plugin but it takes some patience for me when loading and browsing. The 2 could be integrated very well I just don't understand why they don't pull the trigger and do it. It seems like they have a bad PR guy when it comes to explaining their products and the pros and cons of what they really have to offer to musicians and producers. Honestly I was even thinking on going with the integra but that thing is still a pretty penny. I'm fairly new to their mod wheel (it's sleek for sure) but I need more time with it to get the most out of pitch bending.
Question:Can i use it with Vsts like it works with Hardware synths? I mean lets say to have on Ch1 Serum,Ch2 Diva etc and recall it from Sl and then playing aroung with arp ,sequencer, drum rack etc. like the did in all videos with the Hardware????

It's work, but in the end, it's so worth it. I wiped my computer a little while ago and felt the wrath of lost files and it's been driving me nuts I didn't just finish before the wipe. But there's sooooo many!! That arturia was unexpected as hell!

Man, the process for making your own banks from individual patches to export out is still bad. There's a lot of filler and a limited amount of space, wish we had some kind of librarian.
I agree big time. I don't see why they can't sort on the board via expansion packs like in Zenology. Once they're on the board, they can get lost so easily with the other presets
If you want to notice when it cuts off, hold a low bass note and then play at least 2 octaves higher until it cuts off. You are right that "you cannot" hear it when you play a bunch of close notes.

Something I'd really love to see you address/mention in a video, is utilizing the faders internal and external modes simultaneously, (e.g - running Ableton Live but using a mapped fader to control a track volume) Thanks!!
That's the main reason I chose to get a Nautilus instead of the Fantom 08, and I have absolutely no regrets. The Nautilus is an amazing instrument. And of course, on the Nautilus you can see what's going on internally with the CPU in the Performance Meter tab. Never had any noticeable polyphony issues with mine.
@@GammaLensMedia The only downside of the Nautilus is the boot time (mine takes a little under two minutes to start up) but then again, the Nautilus is loading in gigabytes of samples during startup.
