All tokens have converted cost of 0, so anything that makes token creatures would trigger this. Almost guaranteed 2 damage depending on the matchup. Reminds me of an exert creature from amonkhet that was a white 2/2: Exert to gain flying.
This would work well with Galezith Prismari as you get 3-4 artifacts with it when you cast it. Even if you dont end up sacrificing an artifact on a given turn you can just tap this for mana.
@@amatsu_literature9998 it would have saved the 1/1 goblin but Cornered Crook would still have died because it's a Viashino not a Goblin. That said, now that I re-watch it, saccing the clue was probably correct because maintaining my board state there seemed so important
What happens when you have a Hinata, dawn-Crowned in play (spells you cast cost 1 less cast per target.) or a helm of awaking all spells cost one less?
If you have a Helm of Awakening, it would cost 4 to copy 1 thing and 7 to copy 2 things (twice). If you have a Hinata, you can go really crazy! It would cost 4 to copy 1 thing, 6 to copy 2 things (twice), and 8 to copy 3 things (three times).
Notably more usable in commander, but could have valid place traditional play. Control and delay with countering and fog leads to this as a strong impact, and playing with cards from Strixhaven very much compliments a deck type using multiples of massive tokens and lots of ramp.
Well, the recently in Lost Caverns of Ixalan Xavier Sal, Infested Captain is perfect for this. He accelerates +1/+1 counters HEAVY, and fortunately fits incredibly well as Creature sacrifice is a condition to his second tap ability. Using things like Bioessence Hydra, Volo, Guide to Monsters, Slogurk the Overslime, Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres, y'all can cause damage. Even then just running one of the other creatures I mentioned would work great too, fits the theme but you'd lose black as a colour.
Not single handed, more like adapted archetype. Keywords like Delve, Unearth, and Jumpstart have the exact same premise of removing things from the graveyard. I'd say your best option here is Blue/Green midrange or aggro, and even then it might be only 2 or 3 copies as is for a support card.
Frost lynx was a staple because it was baseline. 3 mana for a 2/2 with a bonus. Despite this being ONE version of the same ability, it was seen iconic enough to find compleation as the "Chrome Prowler" in Phyrexia: all will be one.
You didn't give any advice in this short. The card you chose to hype up will almost never see play. It's not even very good at what it does. Cards like Torrent Elemental are infinitely better than this garbage. This thing won't even see play in pauper
appreciate you amatsu! viewer battles could be on the horizon. Maybe the next time I'm practicing for a Constructed tournament I'll take on a few challengers😤
It's certainly at its best in Orzhov, but you also have the option to pay 3 generic mana to cast it face down, and then pay WW or BB to flip it face up.
There are lots of 3 damage for one mana spells that easily out class shock. The only reason why shock and the majority of new burn is even considered to be close to viable is because there either isn't an alternative in the format or its a case of a hidden benefit.
@@jedstanaland2897Bolt is the only unconditional instant for 1 or less without an additional cost that deals 3 or more damage. There are other unconditional instants that deal 3+ for 1 mana, but they have additional costs like discarding a card or sacrificing a permanent, etc. There are other instants that deal 3 without additional cost, but they have conditions like Metalcraft or only targeting creatures with flying, or giving the opponent an option, etc. There are other sorceries and sorcery-speed spells that deal 3+ for 1 mana, but they all have a condition, targeting restriction, or additional cost (or the ability for the opponent to copy it for RR). Plus they're sorcery speed. Well, Rift Bolt is close, but you have to suspend it. There are a lot of "shock, but with upside" spells too, but vanishingly few instant speed deal 3 for 1 mana to *any* target without additional costs. Lightning bolt is the pinnacle of burn. There are *not* "lots of spells that easily outclass shock" there are a dozen that are strictly better but only if their conditions are met, and only handful that always deal more damage, but they all have additional costs or are sorcery speed, save Lightning Bolt.
