Hi everyone! My name is Mevlinn Gusick, and I am the owner, designer, and creator behind MevvSan. I started my crochet business all the way back in 2010 while in college needing something fun to do between classes. After graduating in 2013 I moved to Portugal to live with my amazing husband. That was when I decided to sell my original designs full-time and I'm so glad that I did! Now, not only can I make the most adorable amigurumi for my friends and family but everyone else can too.
Coucou MevvSan, Les sardines sont trop mignonnes et le pélican trop beau. 👍Merci MevvSan pour le tuto. (Un sous- titrage en français serait top!) Bon weekend.
I'm sorry about that! You may want to try going to the Settings --> Playback Speed of this video and setting it to 0.75. I'd love to go slower in my videos but when some amigurumi can take me 2 - 6 hours to make I doubt many people would be willing to sit through such a long video. :(
Hi, that was very informative. I like that skip a stitch way. Trying to do the invisible decrease is always hard to get in the front loop on both stitches. Thank you for the help. Mary
That's a good question. I think I'll make a video about this next. But to answer your question, you could do the invisible decrease method, but because front and back loops are reversed you'd have to work through the back loops only of the next two stitches, then do a YO. But like you said, this method doesn't look as "clean" on wrong side crochet. I personally decrease in what I call the "skip stitch" method. You just skip the next stitch from your hook and crochet into the second stitch from your hook. If you have a tight enough gauge, stagger your decreases from round to round, and don't over stuff your work, you can pull this off without getting gaps in your work. But if you can't, the invisible decrease method is the next best thing.
Thanks so muhc for this video!! I work wrong side facing out bc its more comfortable to crohcet that way! but it's good to know that that's why my things look different from others ahaha
Bonjour Mevvsan, Je suis fan de vos amigurimis au crochet depuis quelques années (j'ai acheté plusieurs patrons, le dernier il y a quelques jours : poules poussins oeufs) et je suis ravie de voir votre premier Vlog. Merci Mevvsan.😘
