Just seen this. I like the old Okinawa flag. Brings back memories. Stationed at Kaden a from 1971 - 1972. Practiced Shorin Ryu Matsumura. Still use forms for exercise at 74.

its a taikyoku with a 3 section staff, isnt there a traditional kata?

my damage per second just increased from 22 - 24 on the bo staff so i'm kinda happy rn, keep the work up and you'll get there one day

I was there last year in November of 2012. Sensei Tokumura is a wonderful man. So full of life. I loved that his house/dojo is the last house on the street next to that memorial park. What a view. I also trained with Sensei Uechi at his dojo and also with him at the Marine Base in that huge gym several times.. I might have followed in your footsteps!

Looks like a good trip. I need to get to Okinawa and train. Let me know when you plan to be in the states.

in Uechi Ryu there is no Seienchin; only Sanchin, Kanshiwa, Kanshu,Seichin,Seisan,Seiryu,Kanchin and Sanseru ;)
