After watching about 20 hours of reviews of “budget” red dots for the RMSc platform I decided to go with the Cyelee cat G pro for its durability, glass clarity, red dot quality and direct mount feature. Unlike the holosun 407k and 507k which requires the purchase of a plate for mounting, and the countless reviews of the Swampfox and crimson trace RAD pro lack of durability. Sig Romeo zero reviews were also underwhelming.
It's offered in 7.62x39 and 300blk now. It's awesome for a small scout rifle package. I'm plan on cutting the barrel down( proper legal paperwork lol) to 10" and running a witt machine direct thread can on it. And have a lpvo optic on it. I absolutely love this little bolt gun and it's actually affordable compared to most guns in its class( mini fix, elf owl and other tactical style bolt guns, atleast once it's cut down).
Picked one up tonight from Academy. I have a legal suppressor, so I also bought an Infinite Solutions Henry suppressor adapter to attach to the front-end. Gonna be fun.
I used closely the same mount on my 20 gauge. It has its wood still and the reddot sits forward a bit but is very useable. My old eyes are loving the concept. The first time i hae seen it was from you . With ideas from you and Dave Canibary . I think that is his name . Lol ! The dude from Ohio . That little 20 gauge can run so much more rounds . From 22 to 50 cal black powder .
I was seriously debating buying one of these for my 1187. i'm glad i found this video to show me how terrible the buttstock fits up against the gun itself. Pause video at the 10:57 mark. That fit & match of contour is terrible.
Thanks for your video. I've watched this one before but I just got a new H001 and fixing to install sling studs and the leather sling that Henry Outfitters sells plus I'm throwing a Simmons 22 mag 3-9× scope on it but how you got yours configured looks like simple fun. P.S. the gun has a hammer safety. Just pull it back to the first click. That blocks the trigger
Good video man. I have a tip. Reduce your sanding for bringing the barrel back into the white. Soak the barrel in evaporust. I did this on a winchester 94 that needed refinishing and it took it back to the white. It was like an easy button. Haha.
Good stuff, I started gettin into these years ago like mabey around 2010? 2012? Back when I used to watch david Canterbury all the time, thin I have about 12 of these adapters for 12 gauge, then I have a set for my Taurus judge in 9mm, 38 special and 22lr. I love these things for the what if scenario and also so if I wanna go plink around the back yard but dont wanna take a bunch of guns I can do that too lol. I just ordered my first 8 inch pathfinder in 22lr, cant wait to see how it does. For anyone interested the calibers I have is, 12 gauge obviously... to 20 gauge, 16 gauge, 410, 45 colt, 45 acp, 40 s&w, 38 special, 9mm, 380 acp, 22lr. Not to shabby for one gun in my opinion. Then of course the judge I can shoot 410, 45 colt, 38 special, 9mm, and 22lr.
Exactly the same exterior measurements as my old Nikon MTactical but with better glass and ergonomics. I’d guess Crimson Trace bought the old Nikon factory and tooling in the Philippines and put their name on them. Very happy with them, just like looking through a Nikon. Big bright sight picture, just the way I like it!
Why didn't you drill the rear sling stud at a ninety degree agree perpendicular to the stock? Just wanting to know for my install job I'll be performing soon.
