Finished reading the essays on OSK. Thank you for taking the time to write those, a wealth of knowledge and resource. Absolutely incredible models and the layout is just as beautiful.
I absolutely love your work Mr. Schrader, I most especially love the model of 4341 you have, an SP MT-4 4-8-2 I believe. One of my favorite classes of locomotives, I'm curious as to who it's made by so I can pick one up for myself, I doubt you'd sell yours, but if you'd consider it, what would be your price?
4341 is actually an Mt-3. While PSC did bring in Mt-3's, they were only "as built". I rebuilt one of them into a modern Mt-3, so the answer is that you can't buy one like that. Sorry. Sunset 3rd rail also brought in SP Mt's but I don't know if they did any Mt-3's like that one.
@@garyschrader7558 darn. Well it's certainly a beautiful model, all of your locomotives are in fact. You truly are a miracle worker when it comes to modifying these things.
Beautiful all the way round. Was counting cars...nice train length especially for O scale. Wow! Helper was a nice touch. Gorgeous scenery too. I love the sound of those O scale car wheels hitting the rail joints.
As noted in the video, I started with a pair of USH ATSF 2-10-4's, but those are models of the 5011 class. I totally rebuilt them into the 5001 class, which has never been imported at all.
This is truly astonishing. Your technical expertise and attention to detail is commendable. In addition, the concise and clear narration makes this a most enjoyable film. Thank you for sharing your time and effort in putting this together.
Absolutely unbelievably gorgeous. To me there is absolutely nothing in model railroading that compares to 2 rail O scale. It seems to be very hard to find. I've got a huge collection of HO, N and Z scale locomotives, rolling stock, track, structures,. Basically any and everything you can imagine in those 3 scales. 99 percent of it is all still new in the box. Everything is top of the line brands. Most everything is in CSX, and the rail lines it consumed. Now that I'm getting older, my eyes aren't so good anymore. So I'm going to make a change to 2 rail O scale. Could you please tell me some good places I can find 2 rail O scale items? I'm having a very difficult time finding anything other than 3 rail. Thanks in advance. GAH II
Two magazines can get you started on finding 2-rail O Scale trains. O Scale Trains magazine is a typical slick magazine you subscribe to. O Scale Resource is an on line free magazine. You can find either by using Google.
Gary, I was hoping to get a copy of your DVD(s) covering your layout, and other work. I’m very interested in getting into 2-rail, and customizing/detailing. Cheers, Ben
Gary, that Greenbrier has to be one of the nicest scale models I have ever seen. Your attention to detail is just amazing. I have the Sunset/3rd Rail C&O J3A Greenbrier 614 in 2 rail. I can just imagine how nice it would look after yo performed your magic. Happy New Year to you.
A very nice model I like c&o steam locomotive.I first came across the c&o in a book called yonder comes the train.Which covered the whole of usa.I did not consider the c&o to be southeastern. The other railroad I like is the seaboard airline railroad.Which goes through my home town of monroe n.c.
