Why do brothers consistently judge women for not choosing potential? I have only seen men do that when marrying children... there is no shame and should be no negative implications towards women that do not marry for potential. Most women that do that in our communities suffer and often when the husband does make more, she doesn't benefit.... he spends it on himself or additional wives. What was her gain? There's nothing wrong with women protecting themselves especially if that's what they are accustomed to.

If she’s your wife and you have a home for her.. isn’t that the man’s right as a Muslim for her to come home to the house that Islam demanded for him to provided for her.. Women talk that rights stuff until its time for them to bend to give husband his rights..
As Salamu Alakium if we as an Ummah can read but fail to apply comprehension of Ayats, Hadiths, or Daleel , then we need to actively listen to the Sheik and our Ulama who are thoroughly studied and well versed in the studies of Islamic jurisprudence and Knowledge of the Deen. I agree with EVERYthing Bro Shadeed is saying. Black folks do EVERYTHING he is saying and THEN SOME…..even after he presented the facts from Allah and the Prophet folks STILL DOIN THE ABSOLUTE MOST!! In all my 55 years its been that way so I just don’t deal with “my people”. AFRICAN American masjid?!? NOOOOO! I’ll stick with the “mixed” masjids that have a handful of “black” folks which usually are NOT from THIS COUNTRY! Man im about 20 mins in and what youre saying is so true! Thats the problem ive come across and am in now. There is so much information being disseminated but very little if no actual solutions to pur problems being spread. How many times am i gonna hear the same things being recycled over and over especially when Ramadan comes and we have no solutions being proposed to the real world boots on the ground issues affecting us?
