Ya it's nice. They get better every year. I think he bought it to primarily ride Moab and a couple of USFS trails where they only check for spark arrestors.
Appreciate all your efforts in making this video - so many different camera placements! I wonder how it would look with some realistic sound effects dubbed in....would have to look close to see that it was an r/c! Your attention to detail is amazing! Thanks for posting. Take care.
Still new to this whole two wheels on dirt thing but coming along. Been mostly riding Carnegie greens and dipping toes into some blues lately. Anything beginner friendly at Metcalf? (the stuff you're riding in this video looks potentially doable, but I know how gopros flatten out crazy steep terrain so my guess is it would be over my head currently).
Sorry for the delayed response, just noticed your comment. Ya there is lots of beginner friendly stuff at Metcalf. Ya that downhill portion of the trail in this video is super steep and tight & twisty not very beginner friendly. Hopefully Metcalf will open up soon after all the rains we just got. If you want to meet there someday and ride around I'd be happy to meet ya there and we could start on some easier stuff like Big Creek, Valley View or Jay's. I usually ride mid week.
@@Eric_Rides No worries Eric, I actually managed to get out there earlier this month with a buddy of mine during a dry spell. Super beautiful park, and found the beginner loops were perfect for me at the time, though probably could have tried some of the mediums but wasn't feeling bold that day. Anyway yes might take you up on that offer sometime!
Jays, Snake and Big Creek are pretty good right now. Gruesome Gary is really beat up. We did a bunch of trail work on Valley View and Four Fingers so they're not too bad. Have fun out there.
Hey man if ya ever want a new riding buddy hit me up! Just moved back a couple months ago and decided to get back back into MX, been spending a lot of time hitting the Foresthill OHV, always down to enjoy good company on a ride!
LOL by change did you clear the tree that was to the right at the start of the video? Couple of big boys went down! Thanks for clearing the trails. Much appreciated. Hopefully be there Saturday. Fingers crossed with the rain.
Nice vids buddy , I moved about 45 min away in browns valley and just sold my yz450 and bought a 22' 500 excf . Have not ridden yet waiting on some parts and springs. This will be the place I start getting into the trail scene. What are the easier trails there? From your video 5 looks pretty easy. I need to work my way into the more technical stuff its been a while since I rode trails. Stoked to have this place close by I am so over the mx tracks in norcal this looks awesome. Maybe we can meet up sometime so I can follow .
Congrats on the new EXC! I would suggest trail 54 along hwy 20, that is one of the easier trails. They are all pretty easy trails, just some are less twisty than others. It would be great to ride and show you around but I live 3 hours away.
I would say they are relatively easy, just go slow. San Andreas Drop has a nice flow. Beehive and Fenceline are pretty fun. Garcia Gulch is fun too but has some cliffy sections.
I remember this very well today a year ago and then followed by bad air quality and Orange sky's, but today, not so and nice blue sky's. I took a video from my video looking south. Saw a strike not far from my condo deck toward Woodside hills. I later on found out that very strike hit a tree in front of a cousins house of my brothers wife. I saw a picture of the damage to that tree and later showed the video to him. This is my video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9D3iIlLNAVc.html
I think those are loop trails. Most are loops that come back to the Sugar Pine staging area. I highly recommend to download Avenza Maps app for your phone, and then download the "Foresthill Off-highway Vehicle Guide" map. This works without cell service. It's all free on-line and pretty much guarantees you won't waste time being lost. Hope this helps.
