I did this on my windows computer and it worked amazing! It should work for pretty much any windows device and steam automatically recognizes it as a custom bootup.
It certainly is a neat idea and a great idea for multiplayer too!! I think I need a second pair to game with my son for when we go on vacation, thanks for the FOMO. 😅 Personally, I enjoy this format too!
Mines are coming today and I can’t wait I’m going to have to get the beam later but I’m still excited but I have one question how is it without the beam
Exciting! It will work just as you'd expect, great picture and experience -- the biggest catch without Beam will be the inability to "move" or rather, shrink the image to a corner and also "fix" or pin the image in space. Thanks for your comment and question, let me know how it works for you!
i have the topton handheld 8 inch, and preferred it above chuwi due to the presence of an full size hdmi port. the other ports are 1 usb-A 3, 1 usb-c and 1 LAN. Celeron N100, 12 GB DDR5 and works fine on my travels for light work and streaming
Great choice! I would have liked to try that one and/or pick it up as well but unfortunately it wasn't in the budget, and the 10.95" just made more sense for the kid. But how are you liking it?
@@gamers-generation it is very ok, in hotels i connect on tv, usb-A is perfect for wireless keyboard/mouse. I use also a small drawing tablet sometimes for light affinity photo. only an extra usb-c was welcome. But streaming is fine. And celeron N100 serves me well in several cases, like minicomp NAS with openmediavault. I am completely nog a gamer but i listen to their opinions and advices, coz they are keen about configurations. And actually, i bought the topton on the philippine Lazada en it was like 17 dollar cheaper than Chuwi. I avoided chuwi due to lack of (real) HDMI. But it was in my mind en on the comparison list. now i paid around 350 USD.
@turnbasedtoddy7664 hi, thanks for your question. If you mean the Xreal Air 2 pros, these should be brighter and clearer as those use the older Sony MicroOLED displays as far as I know.
Pretty much any PS1 title will run well, as for DC, it depends on what you try, but most titles I played would be in the high 30s to 40 FPS range (I tested Power Stone 1/2, Dead Or Alive 2). What were you looking to try out?
Hello! Technically... no? Basically the neckband (and app, though the app has fewer options) lets you shrink the image into a corner of the viewable screen. The "zoom" only goes so far as the central area of what you see, so there's no way to "completely surround yourself" in the image if that makes sense? Sorry, poor explanation. It's kind of early here...
@@gamers-generation I am playing tales of phantasia for the PSX, 😆 can't find a good port for it on the PSP. But on PSP crisis core and haven't tweaked anything on it TBH. Had issue first with xfer games but then I learned that you need to refresh roms in system menu and also do the emucleaner. Moonlight hasn't been good, so don't use. But everything else runs fine. I just xfer everything from the Trimui SD card and then did the crossmix OS in a new Kingston SD.
I have, I honestly didn't see much of a difference, but it's possible that in the titles I tested (PSP/DS) it didn't make a difference. Power Saver did seem to work decently though! Thanks for the comment!
I already got the viture pro xr but i saw this glasses, is it really bigger screen that the viture pro? Cos in viture pro only got 135” while the rayneo 2s has 200” that why i got interest for this glasses.
Hi there, sorry for the delayed ersponse. I'd say the FOV is about the same, the screen size you see will largely be dependent on how far you are from the wall or looking at a distant wall. If you're comparing the original Viture Ones and say the Xreals however, there is very slight difference about 2-3 degrees which is where they get the numbers from. Hope that helps, thanks for the comment!
can we talk about the 32fps as an ex owner of one of these useless devices. to all....go buy a cheap second hand 3060 laptop...will smash this ally to bits with performance. Christ....even at the res 720p the 1660 will put this Rog to shame. and the laptop....will be half the price of the Rog and over double the screen size so no more squinting at what is a big mobile phone screen
We sure can. I think it's fair to say that your performance/display comparison is mostly accurate, but doesn't account for the use case that some people are looking for in that form factor; some people just don't want to (or can't) game at a desk or table, and would rather do so in bed or on a train/bus, and for them, the trade off may be worth it. That said, this video was also made at a time when the XG mobile eGPU wasn't dead yet (it technically is unofficially dead though), and so while that 100% doesn't offer good price to performance, it was a viable option for Ally/Flow owners to "upgrade" their setup. I appreciate your candor and the comment.
I got my 6850m xt from Best buy as an open box for $220! It was their last unit and I had to travel 50 miles for it. For the cost, it was a steal and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I work in the field so I'm in my work truck standing by a lot. This setup is made for me
@@gamers-generation personally I'd still advise not to buy this and go with a laptop...15" laptop with a half decent GPU will in the long run give you a better time imo. this is imo, each to there own, it's just a massive cost if you don't realise the Rog isn't capable of much on its own.
@playnicegames that's correct. You can actually use them with any device that has DisplayPort through USBC unless you have an adapter or the mobile dock, then it'll work with HDMI also (like with your PS5 or XSX)
Hi there, thanks for your question! I'd say that it's got better sound given the 4 speakers, but in terms of ecosystem (like accessories), dimming functionality, and diopters, the Viture Pros have the advantage there. These do go for less than the Viture Pros though, so it depends on what your priorities are.
@@gamers-generation I’ve heard rayneo have better screen quality compared to viture, is that true? I only care about comfort, screen quality and software for productivity, but I don’t know wich is better for that
@@mikeraptorh6888 they use the same Sony microOLED displays as far as I know, but if you do have a larger face, the rayneo might be more comfortable. Do you use eyeglasses or corrective lenses?
@@gamers-generation no I don’t use any corrective glasses, but is a good thing that viture has a prescription lenses in it In terms of software what would u think is better for productivity?
@mikeraptorh6888 thanks for the details. For productivity I'd say it depends on what device you're plugging it into. For example, if you're plugging it into a Samsung phone, then it'll probably be pretty sunilar. But if you're plugging into a laptop, the Viturr desktop app has more viewing options currently (like triple monitor set up)
Idk what to choose I would use my device to watch movie , series and play game like Honkai star rail and slightly high demanding steam game I hesitating cuz the big screen would be great for watching show and a little bit I would like to have good battery and i play mostly on my bed cuz my bed taking a lot of space so there is no room for pc ( I don’t have a pc or any kind of handheld) guys can u help me to choose?
Question, have you checked out my Viture Pro XR review? That might solve your big screen gaming/movie viewing, especially in bed. How do you feel about the GPD Win Mini/Ayaneo Flip? Also I didn't know Honkai Star Rail had a PC client, is it through Google Play PC app? Thanks for the question!
@@gamers-generation for me I looking at legion go and Rog ally x still don’t know what to choose and Honkai star rail can install from their official website or epic game
@@bethaapple2102 3DS I'm not so sure, but DS should work, I'm just personally not a fan of running DS games on non-clamshells or small-ish screens, definitely a personal problem though! Thanks again for your comments!
The neckband is a game changer. I do cloud gaming through Shadow PC, and apparently I can connect a bluetooth mouse and keyboard to the Viture. I was considering getting the Steam Deck LCD since they’re on sale, but now that I know these glasses can be a self contained system… I’m starting to think I only want these.
Wow. What an amazing comment, seriously. I'm not being my usual sarcastic self. I will have to try this out with a mouse and keyboard. Wonderful idea! Thanks for the comment!
Hi, thanks for your comment. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure that won't work 'cause it'll use your phone's location services. Unless you're always connected to VPN and don't use mobile networks? I was recently on a trip and it deactivated the AI 'cause it detected I was outside of the US. Great question.
Hi, thanks for your question! I personally haven't experienced much heat issues BUT I t ypically run the device at 20w or less (I talk about this in my review); and I too have heard the heating issues at higher wattage. I'll also say that once you go over 20 (say 22-25w), the trackpad area gets pretty toasty, as in, your thumbs will feel uncomfortable if you leave them there the whole time. Hope this helps.
Great question. Sorry for the delayed response. Last I checked there was some port in the works, but I'm working on a simpler solution... (yes it's taken this long). Stay tuned and thanks for your comment!
@@gamers-generation thank you for the response. I just got the game because of the recent sale, and I’m getting back into watching all of these great Hogwarts videos.
Another great video! 🎉 If I ever get the Steamdeck, I will return for this video! Because nobody likes drift.. Looking at all my Switch controllers.....😅
Ill be honest. Only reason i was curious if the legion go could handle the quest 2 is to use the quest 2 like a second screen instead of buying the legion glasses.
@ProjectFraz So technically it can do that, either using steam link or virtual desktop, but you'd still need a keyboard because typing would be painful. Unfortunately I no longer own a Quest 2 so I can't test if new spatial features are available. But the glasses are a different use case. I don't have the Legion Glasses but check out my other XE glasses reviews as the Legion Glasses use the same display technology and what you want might be more in line with Viture's desktop app.
Hi there, sorry for the delayed response. Thanks so much for your comment. The MR interface I'm using is this one: amzn.to/3MNMhKx There's alot of like leakage around the sides, but you can get your nose and face up super close, so that kind of makes up for it IMO.
@Ali-nj1tv hi there, great question. Technically I don't think there's a way to connect to your TV as TVs don't typically have video OUT. Instead of a V though you could also use a mini PC and technically even a media box like an Apple TV, Nvidia Shield, or Roku box. You'd just also need an adapter or bridge like the mobile dock to convert the signal. Thanks for your question!
Has anyone tried 3d gaming with these? Like the old school monitors and nvidia vision type stuff? I know theres limited support with direct x (especially 12) but that would be a pretty sweet function.
Sorry for the late response. If I'm not mistaken, there are definitely a few games that could take advantage (like Shadow of the Tomb Raider), and there were posts on reddit about it, but I've not tried this myself. Thanks for the comment!
