I think your analysis of this song (lyrics) is correct. "Judgment Day" is a term based on a very Christian (and Jewish and Islamic) concept, but LOVEBITES is a band with no religious background. There are several other songs by them that are related to Christian themes. However, they are religious motifs and are not claims to praise God. Religiously, "Judgment Day" is a one-time event in the world related to the end of the world, but in this song, LOVEBITES is describing the choice to face the mental conflicts that we experience many times in our lives. Welcome to my favorite band! I did not know of their existence until ten months ago, and these ladies not only play my kind of music, but they blow my mind with how good they are. As for the questions, I imagine the video is a collection of the best questions because at the end Pau said that Ale never drank a shot, but in the video Pau didn't either (until the final shot). And, besides, the stack of questions seemed pretty big but the video went by very fast, so my guess is they didn't show us the full game.

I missed the shot in the video where they point out it's ginger ale, but even if I'd seen it I thought ginger ale is alcoholic, which it isn't. So, yeah, unless Dany started the show hammered or those weren't actually ginger ale shots but rather something alcoholic, she's not drunk. I suppose it's still technically possible but I find it unlikely.

Well, a new reactor to LOVEBITES, congrat for meet this band. "Judgement Day" is also the name of their last album AFTER ALMOST 2 YEARS OF HIATUS the band had to pass 'cause the COVID pandemic and the lost of their former bassist (MIHO, she quit the band on August 2021). So, after deliberating if disband or continue, the band choose to continue and in April 2022, they made an audition for a new bassist. Meanwhile, they started to record the new album "Judgement Day" and MIYAKO (dark haired guitarrist) made the bass parts. But the album didn't went into production before the new bassist joined the band and recorded the proper bass parts. This song "Judgement Day" talks about the "dark" times they had to pass through but they fought against to came to the light again and with the new bassist now they will be "judge" by the fans and the audience to see if they still are the band from before, so this album was called "Judgement Day". And they has proved that they has enhanced their musicianship and composition skills. And the new bassist (FAMI) has brought her joy and brightful presence adding to the band. FAMI has her own YT channel with almost 700k followers.

Yeah, someone else mentioned the word is in dictionaries so I did further Google searches and figured out that the reason I didn't get any results is because they have typed the word in some weird way on the lyrics website (maybe used an "e" from a different alphabet or some such?). If I copy the word from the lyrics website I get only the lyrics as a result, but if I type it manually I get a ton of results which define the word 👌 Thank you for making sure I am informed ❤

Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about them: The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have already recorded 4 full length studio albums, in addition some EPs and Singles and a bunch of live albums, available on CD and DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. They will be in the US for the first time later this year. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. Recently an American reactor, I assume from the USA, got very bent out of shape over the word 'Foreverness', claiming that there is no such word, even after people had posted the meaning for her in the comments. This is from the online Cambridge English Dictionary, "Foreverness, the quality or state of lasting for all time or never coming to an end ". I also found it in my ancient copy (1964) of the Oxford English Dictionary and in my Thesaurus, so it is a valid ENGLISH word, although maybe not in the USA.
Hm, someone on Genius.com (the lyrics website I use) must have done something weird. If I copy the word from there and do a google search (as shown in the video) only this song's lyrics show up, but if I actually type the word and search that way I get plenty of results which define the word. Either way, even if it wasn't a word it's still pretty clear what the meaning is. I suppose that other reactor must've assumed it's not a word without looking it up (or did a poor job at looking it up like me) and it triggered a pet peeve or something? We all get worked up by different, sometimes seemingly insignificant things 😄
Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack 🐺 Lovebites fans around the world will be along to give you information and recommendations. Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, and Haruna, Drums, who are former members of Destrose, a band that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects. The present members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Midori, ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior' Miyako, Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. the 'serious' one with long black hair. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman. Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was about 16. She is the bassist in this video. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. All members of the band can play piano/keyboards. They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023. FYI Ale's age does not matter, as they do not drink alcohol anyway. 😉 Also the whole point of the card game is to ask uncomfortable and stupid questions to force you to drink, so them and their management knew what they were getting themselves into. About the bike thing, their time is scheduled 24x7, so when would they have time to learn to ride a bike.
Yeah, someone else in the comments informed me that ginger ale is, in fact, not alcoholic. I had no idea! Thanks for making sure I am informed, I like knowing things! And I get that the point of the game is to ask uncomfortable questions, but the hooking up questions is silly because choosing to drink doesn't really avoid the question, in a way. I suppose to an extent that's true for all questions though 🤔 I don't know exactly how packed their schedule is, but I imagine once they're done touring for a few months they can squeeze in learning to ride a bike if they REALLY wanted to. And if that's not possible even then, well, they should reconsider how they do their scheduling, but also I'm not sure how much time they would have to ride bikes even if they could.

@@reactionsaccount3955 I might be too rigid with my thinking on that. I once heard that "adults don't have time, adults make time", and I've heard The Warning mention in interviews and other videos that they read, watch anime, movies, shows, of course they listen to music as well, etc. and I might also be underestimating how difficult learning to ride a bike is, because I don't think it would take more than a few hours over a few days to get it down, especially with their neuroplasticity being fired up at all times. So, I still think if they wanted to learn as much as they said they do (or at least Pau did), they could, but I acknowledge I don't have complete information and that my personal experiences might bias me when it comes to some aspects.

@@bsdsuPASTA you're alright! it has caught a few off guard... the video did make it a point to stop and display "ginger shots" right after Ale stated her age... some miss that, too... in this case, i believe it was a spicy ginger juice... especially after the way it hit Dany when she did the only one we saw done until the end... i've had ginger beer one time and it was so spicy and unexpected... i thought it would be like alcoholic ginger ale but nonononono... i did not finish it LOLOLOL i think it was Blenheim or something like that...

"Spicy ginger juice" sounds like a tough swallow, but I guess that's the point in a Truth or Drink game :D My ginger beer experience was quite similar to yours! I don't recall if I finished it or not, but I do remember the "what the bloody hell" reaction I had to it 😄I'd drink another one for good fun and in the right company. Wow, and here I was thinking Pau is just being very expressive when she plays the drums, but it seems what I was actually seeing was the containment seal of the drum kit stretching to its limit under the pressure of Pau's immense energy! No wonder she only plays instruments that require her to be sitting. If I get a personal diss track I'd consider that a win though.
As for the solo, our brains have become programmed, in this day and age, to be impressed by shredders. If you don't shred you're not considered a lead guitarist. Dany don't shred, except in the example of her tapping on Z, and some of their early covers. Her Gilmore-esque passages in some of their early songs are masterpieces. I think she's dropped trying to be the dazzling virtuoso for meaningful well placed leads that fit the song. A lot of her lead work is harmonizing or adding to her vocals which she does in many of their songs which is difficult talent by itself and mostly unheard by the average listener. In this song her lead slips into a middle eastern almost Arabian modal, that's very unique and creative and moves the song into the next section of the song perfectly, but may not satisfy listeners that watch video after video of who can play fastest. I'm a huge fan of the approach "do what's right for the song". I want a good overall and cohesive experience from the song (which can evolve, of course) and that's what I usually get from TW. If I want Flex I'll listen to Polyphia, it's part of the cohesive experience of the song when they do it 😄That said, if I had to name one The Warning song where I would expect some shredding it would be Consume, but I openly confess I am a rudimentary creature musically speaking. And I do quite like the solo in this song on its own, especially the more I hear it. I'm glad I'm not the only one who heard the Arabian/Middle Eastern bits in that solo!

One thing that baffles me is, in an interview they stated that the bass and guitar tracks were laid down first which is not a common process. Then the vocals. Then....in under 4 hours Pau added ALL her drum tracks to the album. This is simply mind blowing. What i would give to just sit there and watch Pau craft all her drumming on this album. Each song unique with Pau literally carrying the melody and transitions of each song on her drums. She's such a creative person. (well they all are) What a treat this band is. Nice reaction....:)
I watched a bunch of drumming videos just yesterday so I can tell apart the different drums in the kit, so I won't pretend that I know anything about drums, but if she really did the all of the drums for the whole album in under 4 hours I am very impressed! Creativity is certainly in abundance when it comes to The Warning. I, too, would love to be present for the creative process when they make their music. Although I probably wouldn't get much out of it without being able to speak Spanish. Not with my meager understanding of music :(
Someone else in the comments said Pau does the verses and Dany does the pre-chorus & the chorus, and of course they're also harmonizing all over the place so we're probably hearing a lot of Ale too, without realizing 😄 Definitely not a solo lead vocal in this song though 👍
Was a good game until they dumbed down the combat to easy mode, got rid of the skill wheel for a cookie cutter class system, and made everyone start over for some reason.
