I like to use glue sheet on blades (for normal inverted rubbers) and then use Elmer's Rubber Cement over the glue sheet and sponge to glue. The playing characteristic is VERY different from water based glue. It's a world of difference, and I like it this way better. It was an accidental discovery.

Something worth mentioning - European glue sheets (Gewo, Donic, Xiom, etc.) have a weak side and a strong side. The weak side is supposed to stick to the blade, the strong side to the rubber. The point is exactly what you see here - it makes the rubber transferrable from blade to blade, and makes the rubber easily removable from a blade without damaging the blade. Chinese glue sheets are NOT like this, and are much more likely to damage your blade when you try to remove the rubber and the old glue sheet. If you are using a European glue sheet, MAKE SURE IT'S not put on upside down!!!! I've gone to glue sheets entirely for OX pips - there's no other easy way to apply the rubber. For rubber with sponge, I use Elmer's Rubber Cement. Sure, it'll set off VOC testers, at least for a couple weeks after application, but whose bats ever get to see a VOC tester, let alone go through Racket Control? Not anyone I know. Water based glues are a major pain in the neck.

Good vid. What would have been the negative sides of playing if you hadn't have cut your Kris smaller? Thanks.
