I always get a lot of excitement for doing a one handed butterfly, as well as laying down in my back and doing a three beat or butterfly with the chains shortened.
hey, I was wondering what kinds of pois are used in the video, how are they called? i would like to buy some pois in order to perform the orbital. Can I just use the pois in the shop are do they need to be covered in something special? And what pois are the best for perfoming the orbital :)? Would be very grateful if you could answer :)))
remember the time of martial arts training. we don't use ropes but use chains and rembo knives. doing that with strength, I almost died several times when the knife almost stabbed me in the face😂
Thank you for this video. What's a good difference between the pod and ball poi, they are both available and wasn't sure which would be good to start. Might try the tip for the dollar tree version, appreciate that! Ah saw in another video, he said the pods show up better on video/camera. Are there other good differences?
Hey there! The "pod" LED DropPoi we sell is what we recommend to all beginners! It's affordable, extremely durable, and has a perfect weight balance! Here's the link: sacredflowart.com/product/spectrum-led-droppoi/
You should actually squeeze out the dipped wicks with plastic gloves above the dipping Station, lamp oil is quite toxic for the environment. If you just spin in, the oil will go all over the place and into the ground.
It's important to learn to make your own poi when starting out as there aren't many places other than festivals and hooping weekends to buy poi even though the professionally made ones are easier to use.
I bought some hand made poi at a festival in the 00s but wasnt sent the instructions I was promised so bought a DVD. The poi was too small and light so more suitable for children. But I couldnt find a teacher locally only hooping teachers so took that up instead. But poi is much more portable and needs less space than hooping so find it strange that it isnt as popularas hooping where I live. I later bought more professional poi and a book in London but the book shows the tricks but not the warm up exercises and how to build up to do the tricks in easy steps. Also I would get hassled carrying a hoop to and from classes and preferred to use my own hoop rather one provided by the teacher that I wasn't used to.
@sacredflowart I wish poi was more popular than hooping where I live. There was a teacher from Bristol coming to Cardiff years ago to give hooping lessons, so those who learned from her gave lessons to others but nobody giving poi lessons. The only poi lessons I had were at music festivals but only a few. It is more popular there because of the lack of space.
A 3/4" hoop will be easier than 5/8". Choose HDPE if it'll spend time in the cold, otherwise go Polypro! Here are our options: sacredflowart.com/product-category/hoops/simple-hoops/
Is it the camera angle? But how many takes did y’all do for this prop? Good job but I feel for the level of awesome that this prop is and what y’all have done to make it, I’ll stop there. Love y’all’s props!!
We don't recall how long it took! Thanks for the kind words. Here's a link to our Buugeng options! sacredflowart.com/product-category/more-props/buugeng/

Hi! I'm Looking at getting into fire poi, however have never done poi before. Should I buy a set of led poi first to learn with, then once i'm good enough get a set of fire poi, or buy a set of fire poi and not light them until im ready? If you suggest led poi first, what set is suitable (weight and design similar) that will lead me onto fire poi in the future? Thank you!! Great video!
LED Poi are an excellent choice for how versatile they are! We have both Fire & LED Poi available here: sacredflowart.com/product-category/poi/led-poi/
