Competitive Pokémon Trading Card Game focused channel. Home of the Lake of Rage podcast. Videos will focus on gameplay, deck lists, metagaming and how to optimize and improve your gameplay!
Josh makes a really good case, the exact one I would submit, for the Dusknoir line to be banned, or at least for a hate card to be printed. I don’t care how unreasonable or how much of a baby I am; I want to play my single prize baby basics decks, and I will be doing touchdown dances in the endzone if/when they are banned.
Dusknoir was in 57 of 161 decks that made day 2 in Dortmund. That's 35%. I would say that's well too high and lots of times it feels like the mechanic creates really negative play experiences especially when they just turbo wipe the board.
The freezing point being at 0 celcius is just a better starting point. Fahrenheit doesn’t make sense just as yards and feet is insane😅 but to each their own ofcourse ✌🏻
I would be interested to know if Cameron has seen the stellar crown lists with Gholdengo and Dragapult together. Is it a meme? I mean yea probably, but it is very fun with Crispin.
GOATed Guest, Kevin. Not biased, even though I'm indirectly a contributor to the website, as my build and battle videos help his Prerelease Articles out a lot! 😂
@@MellowMagikarp Just know that despite the numbers, there are some of us out there who care about more than which 1 card tech in Regidrago will take 33rd place at the next event. Love the community support!
Top players come to different conclusions sometimes and still get the same results. Example, Raz is saying Fezendipiti is bad, but Ian Robb (who also made top 4 but got match lossed) was thanking his friends for convincing him to put Fezendipiti in. Both made top 4, and both disagree about fez. It's more like playing well and understanding how to play your list matter more than the list itself
Great pride that such a small country reaches such great achievements, maybe thanks to you Pokémon will finally understand that there is a flourishing community here and will come to us as well, thank you Raz for this amazing representation and keep on giving!
Raz!!!! amazing to see you in this interview, and amazing to see you reaching top 4 in worlds! i am sure you can take the whole event next year :) best player in Israel and among the very best in the world of competitive Pokémon!
I want to see rotation and season send both hit on the last day of August, ready for a new season and rotation on September 1st. Players might move in ages category/academic year, a new season is a fresh start... It all just makes sense
There is an asterisks, that's nothing against the kid and i think his 50k plus what 100-200k in prizes will make it so he doesn't care what people say. Iron thorns shouldn't have won based on how the games played out, that is nothing negative against Fernando
It’s not about his win in the finals, it’s about his overwhelming loss in top 8. Because it was Ian Robb, I would put asterisks on Jesse’s top 4 win as well if Ian was DQed from top 4 instead of top 8.
One thing that I have not seen yet is giving Fernando Cifuentes credit for innovating with his Quad Iron Thorns deck with a heavy gust (4x Pokemon Catchers and Prime/Boss) which I had not seen before. And is not obvious. Prime Catcher seems to be the better ace spec. He just took it one step further.
Contrary to the lay person reaction, my wife who has no clue how this game is played nor is she familiar with those involved, said (when she saw it), awww, that looks SO bad. I also showed her IBs version, just NR from her. The moment I saw it live, when twitch chat mentioned it, knew right away the optics was bad (regardless the intent or meaning). Optics is everything.
obviously it is clearly ian's fault, no one can argue that it's not. for the record, we recorded this before he admitted the action, but regardless we acknowledge that whether it was or not. but as far as our discussion on the pod, we're talking about how it was handled, which was poorly done, and that is at the tpci level
I feel like it is Ians fault not TPCI.... they were forced to make a decision that alters the tournament because of his actions. Even if he is sorry he needs to take accountability.
