In every sport somebody comes along that completely defies logic. In F1 it was Senna. He was magical every time he sat in the cockpit. I have never had that feeling of excitement and joy when I have watched other drivers past or present. He was universally accepted and loved and if you watched his funeral you knew the importance and the impact it had not only in F1 but in sport globally. He simply the greatest!!.
I don't think Ayrton was a dangerous driver, or one to take others out. What's missed in the video's 1990 discussion is some would argue in 1989, Prost drove into Senna in Japan to crash him out of the race. If that is true then 1990 was Ayrton paying Prost back or at least preventing that from happening again.
8:00 The ONLY other person I have ever heard have THAT level of detail was another legend who went too soon - Kobe! Just as Senna could tell the concrete wall was not even an inch off, Kobe knew when the rim was an inch off as well, missing him shots
I was too young to understand a F1 races when it was on TV back then, but I always loved Senna because of his appearence in child books call "Seninha" (little Senna in English). Once Adult, I spend a good time watching every single video of him, it was a very emotional moment because I start to remember and finally understand what this man means to Brazil and for the motorsport.
I started to watch F1 in the 70's, I used to love F1, but when the GOAT of all time died, I never watch F1 in the same way. Senna is the best of all time, the number of titles does not translate his greatness.
