Instead of cutting individually for multiples just double fabric wrong sides together, then flip when sewing to right sides together..that's how I do it.
I have really enjoyed your videos! I like how you film, it is from start to finish and I have learned so much watching you. I will be making my first t shirt quilt soon. I would like your advice and tips. What was the light weight stabilizer you used way back 3 years ago when the person just randomly sent you different off cut pieces. On my first quilt I do not want it stiff, but soft. What type of light weight stabilizer should I use? Love, your channel and the way you put things together. Cant wait to hear back from you. I have watched several t shirt videos and your videos are the best because you show the good, bad and ugly. Thus witout editing we can see what we woukd actually be getting into and how to trouble shoot real time vs the video being edited, Be safe and take it easy. God Bless
Hi, what type of sewing machine are you using, whT is the make and model, im enjoying watching your video's, where didnyou get your Teddy Bear pattern from ,im a beginner and wantvto try this with my daughter
Some general questions… Do you cut each shirt individual or stack them? What size seam allowance do you use? Do you always sash each between the blocks? Thanks!!
Do you have any tips for making a double sided tshirt quilt without stabilizer? I see in your video you use cotton strips of material between each tshirt. I am not planning on using any other material to make a boarder between the tshirts. Also what kind/size of needle do you use? I have a Janome sewing machine.
You say in the above video that you would not make a quilt like this, that you would make it your traditional way. Or, how you would normally make a T-shirt quilt. OK. How would you have normally made a T-shirt quilt?? Rose
Found your channel months ago. Today is the first day I was able to watch full videos. Keep up the great work. I love how down to earth you are. You are full of wisdom. My kind of people. Keep the videos coming! God bless you and your family.
Glad I found this. All videos show stabalizer ironed on which to me defeats reasoning of making a tshirt quilt. Im also old school. I rarely use any iron porduct. I remember when stitch witchery didnt have any glue! We had to "sew in" all stabalizers to collars, front shirt plackets in late 60s, early 70s. I dont use often except if doing an applique on a jean tote because they all wrinkle over time if washed and dried.
hello i found you thru angelina this is a very good shortcut to this design. i also like donna jordan's method. thank you so much for sharing debra eckard
I appreciate how you just add any old square to make a lovely true scrap quilt. I’m tired of seeing “curated” ‘scrap’ quilts where the colours are matchy match or patterns are from a line! My scrap pile is wild and crazy. Nothing matches
Every row will have 25 squares total ( with the exception of the middle row you first did? I’m confused…it’s beautiful!!!! Also how much of each fabric would you say you used for this size quilt?
Oh my goodness! I have just found your channel and I absolutely love it! You are wonderful and tell it just like it is! I am going to find your Facebook page as well!
