This boss took me about ten attempts, , but my dumbass realized i still have those healers left, so i immediately, smelter wedged them and i beat him on first try, also bonfire being near him actually made the fight enjoyable.
The development team of DS2 wasn't the same team that worked in DS1 and DS3, that gave them more creativity in this kind of things like put a NG+ actually very good, Fume Knight reacting to Velstadt set or Sir Alone committing seppuku when you defeat him without receiving damage. DS2 is often marked as disapproved by the community but if you look closer your realize that have more identity than DS1 and DS2 and is more memorable
Spent about 3 weeks working on my 100 wins on top of the final crafting relics. Across that entire time I saw various familiar names popping in and out. Though one stood as I had seen them from start to finish. Entering and leaving. Up until the last day I played. There were some nights were I spent up to 3 hours going for wins and I would see them in a noticeable number of my lobbies. Well there were nights I wasn't having a great time with the game mode, I never played more than a few games on nights when I was not enjoying the experience. That is to say I can't imagine how bored that person must have been just spending dozens and dozens of hours just spamming lobbies just for a title when in the same time or less I got it just by playing normally. I doubt they were using the instant leave and queue thing as they would sit in the lobby for up to 10 seconds presumably as they were waiting for their game to load to leave. I have the title and enjoy it but I also can recognize it isn't much of a flex at the end of the day. The title really only shows you have the no life time that is needed to be decent at a laggy gamemode. Will I flex on my close friends and act like a "King". Probably. Do I expect other players to treat me like I'm a Legend or Necromancer? Absolutely not. All this to say, don't be one of these people. Don't go for this stupid title unless you; A: Like the title just for the title, B; Like the gamemode and just got it through playing a bunch, or C; You're a psycho like me who feels a need to complete a task once you tell yourself you can do it (also in my experience most leavers I saw were not Legends/Necromancers. However nearly all of them were Mentors, classic)
It just highlights the bigger problem imo. Achievements as whole now define the way people play the game. So far that they are willing to abuse solo lobby bug just to circumvent the whole system. Completionism in a videogame is hell of a drug.
Love that I saw the "fabled" Frontlines stomp premade from my DC that is just spamming DRK/DRG/WAR/AST in Frontlines already having the Fall Guys title after a few days. They all surely got it legit. I mean if you use PvP plug-ins you would never use other plug-ins. Right?
I'm on Dynamis and this happens every lobby, you'll never find a full lobby cause 90% of players join and leave instantly. This event is flawed in so many ways, I hope they change some things either now or when the event eventually comes back.
I like how people are outing themselves as using the Fall Guys Automation mod in the comments. A dance or outfit mod literally hurts no one in the game. Anyone who can see it in game has the mod themselves. A mod that autoplays the game mode for you negatively affects others' experiences because you're stealing wins you didn't earn from players making the effort. This mod has completely erased any kind of Flex these titles could have been considered as being.

Some of these people are legit though, they're just queuing and leaving for the small chance to get a bugged solo session. People have started doing so because of the huge amount of people with third party plugins that ruin the game by showing the AOEs on the final map. On one hand I can understand why they do it. Hell, my winrate went from 45% the day before that plugin dropped, down to lower than 5% (I tracked in an Excel document). It's also easy to see who's using it when they perfectly greed left-most exaflares on the final map. It's ridiculous that it's come down to this to get these wins, that people have to resort to bugged lobbies because cheaters are so rampant, getting wins is ridiculously difficult now due to others having an unfair advantage.
My point is that FFXIV has cheater problem. Not only here but pretty much in anything that requires a yota of competitive effort. I can have benefit of the doubt about maybe a couple of people who legit spam requeues and not just chill until popping stops. By the way AOE zones and queue bot is part of the same plugin. Even this is pretty tame compared to those idiots who straight up fly to the end of the stage, at very least queue bot is NOT ruining other people matches.
@@adradox Agreed! I'm just making sure folks don't generalise and think that anyone leaving and queuing is immediately a cheater. That'd yield very unfair punishment for people who want this title, but don't want to play thousands upon thousands of games against cheaters.
1. If they count 1 round per win that would be not stress like 1 win in last round so everyone can get 100 win title normal way. 2. There is no such a thing called 3rd party tool exploit, that is just a feature in the game (like leap of faith sometime you go alone, it's work like that) and people still don't understand how it work so they in and out like idiot and pray that get solo, but you can do that manually no plugin or bullshit tool. 3. Their netcode is ass so rather being solo take 100 win or mental break down by snapshot.
@@Vulby I've been stress testing this bug in different hours on dead servers. It may take between 10 minutes to 45 minutes to get a solo queue. There is not a single individual who is going to do this manually for 100 times as it would be more time efficient to master the run and have legit competition.
@@adradox I do lol 64 wins solo instance by manually (took me 5 days to finish), there are 2 factors to make it work: Know the time when new instance create and how to press commence instantly when queue is pop up. But ye there will be some RNG it's not consistency but overall it's work.
People are super ravenous for the fucking title jfc! They will cheat in a hyper casual event, like come on leave that shit for pvp where they did it originally...
My main issue is that if you are dedicated enough to do an ultimate or solo deep dungeon, it should be trivial to pick a day to hop over to Dynamis at degen hours to pound out solo instances legit. Could probably do it in a night if you are efficent.
The game mode would be fun if not for people behind you teleporting to the victory line and everything having a wonky asf snapshot, the event is intended to come back i believe which is why they made it 100 but yeah people trying to solo q are just tired of having wins ripped from them becayse xiv servers really arent good enough for this kind of content
For the context: People who pop in and out constantly are using 3rd party tool that exploits a bug which allows you to queue solo on occasion. It's not an intdended way to play a game mode and is effectively way to cheat your progress. Notably the biggest abusers are people who enjoy flexing the fanciest and the rarest titles in the game. I understand that getting 100 victories could be a problem but this way no one can be bothered to play something that was supposed to be fun collab. From relaxing recreational activity it turned into tryhard achievement grind and I do not blame players here, it's entirely SE's fault for allowing this to happen while setting the bar so high for a limited event which is likely never to come back.
The kind of third party tool that makes them exit instantaneously and resubmit until they're the only one it detects. It exists, Look it up. Or don't. maybe you just like bein contentious.
As the person you're trying to call out, I don't need a 3rd party tool to leave the instance at 1:03 and then requeue, but I imagine you're too dumb to understand the basic ways this game works.
They are using a bot that exploits a bug which allows you to queue solo on occasion. Popping in and out until it finally "procs" so they can cheat to get an achievement.
I know it makes more sense he takes the helmet as proof that you bested Velstadt, but goddamn it's fun asf to think he's just too livid to see you're just a little raskal with his helmet💀
This boss is soo poorly designed. It wouldn't be soo bad if the purple exploding balls were untargetable by our attacks and passive attacks. :( Hopefully this gets fixed.
